A German-style Pils with pale gold color and good body, this crisp, clean and very bitter beer has pronounced hop aroma and is made with the famous Hallertau hops. Kaiser Pils is brewed with triple decoction mashing. A beer worthy of an Emporer.

L - Clear gold with a one finger fizzy white head that dissipated quickly. Moderate lacing.
S - Light cracker grass and a hint of citrus.
T - Taste follows the nose.
F - Moderate - light body and moderate carbonation. Crisp and clean.
O - A nice German Pils that I would buy again.

Pours a clear gold color. Light head. Tastes crisp and light. I would liken it to an upscale version of an average Pilsner. Definitely could drink a few of these out at a bar.

A excellent Pilsner beer. Clean, slightly hoppy, smooth. Just a really good beer. Very drinkable. I will be getting this again

1.5 x 12 0z Bottles
Bottle Date: --
Consumed: 04 June, 2022
Glass: 0.5L Pokal
Temp at Pour: 49.4 F
Look:
Clear straw to light-golden yellow. Initial 3-finger white pillowy head slowly dissolves to a rocky cover and then develops some holes. Heavy and excellent lacing.
Smell:
Light grainy bread dough with some lemon notes and a touch of honey. Hints of grass and some zest. A classic German/Central European aroma.
Taste:
Very much similar to the nose but with the zestiness and the lemon turned up a couple of notches. There is some pepper. A medium bitterness finishes off the sip and dries things out quite a bit, but not completely. While noticeable, the hops are balanced well by the pale malts, though the bitterness does slowly build with each sip.
Feel:
Crisp but smooth with a mostly dry finish. Well carbonated. Body shades to the heavier side of light … so medium-light.
Overall:
A very good take on a classic German Pilsner. The beer must have more malts than I expected, which leads to the balance and the not-quite-complete-dryness. Which is something that some of the German Pilsners seem to have, at least to my palette. Penn Brewing does German styles fairly well across the board, with this beer being no exception.

My favorite domestic Pilsner!
A classic representation of a true German Pilsner style beer.
A little haze to it, but the flavor profile is on point.

12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass with a pale clear gold color and quick disappearing white head, minimal lacing. Smells of bready lager malt and grassy Noble hops. Taste follows aroma with decent hop bitterness balanced with crackery malt. Medium to thin body with good carbonation and a crisp finish. Overall, a very good pils.

Had it fresh at the brewery. So much better than the average BA rating that is calculated mostly from the bottled version of unknown freshness. Nice pale malt character that is well balanced with the hops for a crisp flavor.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. NO freshness dating.
clear very pale yellow body, enormous white fluffy head, thick generous lacing.
had to blow a hole in the head to get a nice hit of lager malts and yeast.
biting flavor, you can feel the hops, but the overall impression is pretty understated.
a little above thin on the mouth, slightly bitter on the finish.
overall, a decent enough beer. not a style I'm in love with, a but a nice enough quaff with tonight's curry.

Poured into a custom shaped glass: color is straw gold, head is bright white with fine bubbles presenting about 1/2 inch thick and lingering well with a top and deeper ring along the glass, some lacing on the glass.
Smell is bready, crackery, grassy hops thought subtle.
Taste is similar with bready, crackery flavor, some biscuit like taste, then some grassy hops and bitterness.
Mouthfeel is crisp, carbonated, a bit strong on the tongue.
Overall a very good pilsner, true to style with pleasant bready/biscuity qualities and moderate hoppiness.
