Still new to the craft beer scene, so not really sure if experienced BA'ers would consider this a good selection, but for a newbie like me it's a whole new world of beer choices. The deli has samples of the 12 or so beers they have on tap. The clerk who was getting my samples was extremely friendly and seemed to have a real knowledge of the beers they have on tap. Overall a great beer buying experience. Will definitely stop in again next time I'm in Lexington. (464 characters)

Warehouse-sized selection of booze, wine and beer. Don't think you'll find many whales, but they have a decent collection of regular-distribution beers -- domestic and import. Staff eager to help out. They also have a deli, snack foods and cigars. It ain't your local craft beer shop -- sort of like the WalMart alternative. (328 characters)

Why does Liquor Barn card people who aren't even making purchases? What right do they have to see my ID if I'm not buying anything? I understand the need to card people who are actually buying alcohol because of legal issues. What I don't understand is why I should feel obligated to show my ID if I'm not in fact buying a single thing. Sorry, no I won't show the creepy guy my ID so that my legal age DAUGHTER can buy some wine. I'm obviously very well over the legal age, or even the questionable age. I had my ID on me, but I don't support having my privacy invaded for no reason so we just left and she made a purchase elsewhere. In fact I'm sure I've been offered, and accepted, samples of alcoholic beverages at a Liquor Barn and did not have to show ID. Do you see how stupid this company policy is? (806 characters)
