Wow, what a humongous place! I stopped by while visiting my brothers. The lengthy beer aisles pretty much covered everything you could want - local, American, German, Belgian, etc. I grabbed a 12 pack sampler of both Great Lakes and Schlafly's, along with some Sierra Nevada and a bomber of Schlafly's as well. They extensively covered some breweries, like Sam Adams, Goose Island, and Schlafly's - I've never seen so many from single breweries in one place. Being from Michigan, I was glad to see Bell's down there, but I don't recall noticing anything from Founders. The prices were entirely reasonable, too. With huge selections of wine, brandy, and other snobby groceries, it was a fun place to visit. (705 characters)

Warehouse-sized selection of booze, wine and beer. Don't think you'll find many whales, but they have a decent collection of regular-distribution beers -- domestic and import. Staff eager to help out. They also have a deli, snack foods and cigars. It ain't your local craft beer shop -- sort of like the WalMart alternative. (328 characters)

Why does Liquor Barn card people who aren't even making purchases? What right do they have to see my ID if I'm not buying anything? I understand the need to card people who are actually buying alcohol because of legal issues. What I don't understand is why I should feel obligated to show my ID if I'm not in fact buying a single thing. Sorry, no I won't show the creepy guy my ID so that my legal age DAUGHTER can buy some wine. I'm obviously very well over the legal age, or even the questionable age. I had my ID on me, but I don't support having my privacy invaded for no reason so we just left and she made a purchase elsewhere. In fact I'm sure I've been offered, and accepted, samples of alcoholic beverages at a Liquor Barn and did not have to show ID. Do you see how stupid this company policy is? (806 characters)
