Light golden in color. Dry and crisp with a semi assertive, Fuggles hop bitterness. Hops are prominent but not overwhelming. Overall, a well balanced representation of the golden ale style.

On tap at the Woodstock Inn brewery itself. Paired with an undercooked (bloody) burger.
Clear gold with a thin white head. Stubborn retention lasted most of the way and left impressive drifts of dried lace.
Smells of watered down light malt extract, lemon, and grassy hops. Tastes soapy with lemongrass--tastes like Dawn dish detergent actually. Or at least what I think Dawn dish detergent would taste like.
Not so much.

Another gift from Sam Knocken who apparently has some source for out-of market beers. Cool by me!
My pour created two-plus fingers of dense, fluffy, eggshell-white head with good retention. Color was a deep coppery-amber with NE-quality clarity. Nose was redolent with grassy Noble hops. Mouthfeel was medium, approaching full and the taste was both immediately grassy and then followed by a lager-like honey flavor. Yum! Finish was semi-dry with the hops and malt working well together to create a nice balance.
