I've been drinking this one for several years, and when returning to Boston from the mountains I grab me a growler. Thought it was time to give this brew its due. There's something really unique about this one, and I can't quite place it. Hoppy, but very well-balanced. Kind of tangy aftertaste. Had it on draft at the Woodstock Inn and enjoying a growler as we speak. This is way high on my list. Just sayin'...
Update August 6, 2013: Lovin' me another growler from the Woodstock Brewery. Reading some reviews makes me realize how iffy contract brewing is. This brew is always very, very good at the brewery. Why risk damaging your reputation on a version of your product that you can't properly oversee? (I suppose the answer is obvious: $$.) But I'm not sure I would make the pilgrimage to the brewery if I tasted a pedestrian bottle.

Bottle from beer of the month club. Pours ruby with small head. Aroma is interesting. Strong citrus and floral hops mixed with buttery caramel malt. Very buttery smell. Flavor follows the smell closely. Very floral hop flavor here, similar profile to Celebration, but with a buttery caramel addition. Strange finish of malt though. Lightish mouthfeel with adequate prickle from the carbonation. Not bad.
