I always look forward to this when it comes out. This along with a few pumpkin ales captures the "taste" of autumn. This beer is very apples and cinnamon, but not quite sweet and the amber color is appropriate to its taste. It's a great in between beer for the transition of light summer beers into dark winter beers.

12oz undated can.

Pours clear amber with a dense head of tan. Plenty of tattered lacing and persistent retention. Cinnamon and light malt in the nose. Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel. Malty and a bit spicy on the palate. Finishes a bit sweet with a firm bitterness.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear light brown amber color with a tiny head of off-white foam. The head fades rather fast leaving but a trace of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strong of a lightly toasted brown bread smell mixed with aromas of apple cider and cinnamon. Along with these smells comes notes of caramel and molasses as well as some notes of toffee and nutmeg and a touch of pear and grain. Overall, the aroma is very inviting.
Taste – The taste begins with a lightly toasted bready and doughy taste that has a decent showing of apple and pear. At the same time, there is some sweetness from a caramel and brown sugar taste, as well as a bit of grape and nuttiness. As the taste advances the nut grows stronger and is joined by a bit of earthiness and more apple and caramel sweetness. The spices while light upfront, grow stronger in nature with the increase mostly in cinnamon, but also in a bit of ginger and nutmeg. At the end the breadiness decreases a touch, leaving one with a moderately sweet and fruity, lightly toasted and somewhat nutty taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is light to medium in thickness and creaminess with a lower carbonation level. Overall, the feel is pretty nice balancing the sweet, fruit, and spice rather well.
Overall – A rather nice spiced and flavorful autumn style ale, just as the name would suggest.

Poured from a 12oz can into pint glass in January 2023. There was no readable date printed on the can. I drank this about 2 months after purchase at their brewery/restaurant in North Woodstock, NH.

Appearance: Deep amber with tan head. Beer color is opaque but not cloudy. The head is 2-fingers thick, and end with a very thin head after a couple of minutes, while leaving a thin film on the glass.

Smell: Aroma filled with mix of roasted malt, cinnamon, and coffee. There is a hint of chocolate as well. Nice variety and balance, with a little hops aroma.

Taste: There is a nice mix of sweetness of cinnamon and only a little bite from the hops. This is a nice combination, but I expected a wider variety of other flavors. The flavors in the aftertaste were good, and they lasted for a minute or so.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied, and very smooth. Mild alcohol, which confirms the 4.63% on the can.

This is a smooth, full-bodied ale. It is an interesting combination of flavors, and I would drink this again. Overall a good ale, and I would buy this again.

On tap at the brewery. Cinnamon is the dominant flavor. Fall-like for sure.

An easy pour released a finger of light beige creamy/soapy foam with average retention, a fat ring lasts on. Hazy chestnut brown color, amber in front of bright light. I can barely see my finger through it.

A balance of cinnamon, apple sauce and bready malt greets the nose.

Semi sweet with low bitterness, cooked apple leads the taste with bitter hops and spicy cinnamon. The malt is under the other tastes yet supports and adds dryness for balance, fresh baked bready and toasted with a hint of caramel. The finish is clean and fast, hop bitterness and cinnamon linger a while at a moderate level.

Medium-light bodied with lasting carbonation, smooth and well balanced. Label states "Brewed specifically for the pumpkin intolerant". It lives up. This is an Apple Ale, spiced like a Pumpkin Ale and based on a Brown Ale.
Canned on 8/3/21.

This beer is delightful. It has the flavor and aroma of a spiced apple cider but the mouthfeel of a beer. A very pleasant experience. I got the 12 pack in Hudson NH on sale for $11.99. I will definitely be trying the rest of this brands portfolio after this wonderful first impression.

This is exactly as described. Apple and cinnamon in a brown ale. It comes off with some sweetness but not cloying. Over all a pleasant beer that is exactly as described,

12 oz bottle

Pours clear reddish brown, white film for a head.

Smells like pie crust, cinnamon, sugar, nutmeg and cardamom.

Tastes of graham cracker and pie crust with nutmeg, cardamom, and allspice.

Light to medium body, stinging carbonation on the tongue.

Festive and spicy. Decent winter warmer with some notable desert like tendencies, but ultimately the bitterness of the spices wins out. Surprisingly I like this. Worth trying.

This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a dark amber to glossy orange color with a one finger white to off white foamy head. Once the head dissipated, there was a light speckled lacing clinging initially but ending up sliding into the beer. The smell had a sweet pumpkin with cinnamon, ginger, mild apple to a clean damp biscuity/breadiness roaming in and out. The taste took all of those flavors and combined to taste. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was there and good for the "pumpkin ale" style. Overall, I liked this pumpkin ale, if I could get it on a regular basis I would.
