I am almost 30 years old. When I lived back east my parents always stopped at the Woodstock Inn after skiing one of the many mountains close by. I always loved the names of some of the beers (Pigs Ear, Weasel Wheat, Loon Golden, Oldman Oatmeal). Most of these names at a young age got me wondering why people would drink beer like Bud, Miller or Coors when there were these beers with such cool names.

When I finally turned 21 I had my dad drive from Lowell MA all the way to N.Woodstock NH to have a beer at the Woodstock Inn. I was so excited to finally drink a beer with my dad at one of our favorite places. The atmosphere is wonderful here. Winter, spring summer or fall. Place just shouts old school NH feeling.

The beer here is pretty good. No it does not make some crazy ass special beers. No they dont make a huge % abv beer for you to go and get drunk on. They make quality beer for anyone to enjoy. They have nice seasonals, a great everyday line up and have some tap only beers once and awhile. A few years ago they started bottling their beer which was great.

The food is good as well. They have great pub apps, 3-5 happy hour, a huge menu with everything you can think of on it.

If you are looking for a place to bring your family on a ski trip, take your family hiking or just want to get away and relax this is a perfect place for a beer lover in NH.

I miss you Woodstock Inn...keep up the good work.

The beers at the brewery tend to be more enjoyable to drink than they are from the bottle. It may be because many of the bottle ones are brewed under contract bu another brewery. The eatery is part of the Common Man chain of high quality restaurants in New Hampshire. There are some unique but also some old stand-by meals to choose from off the menu. Soup in a bread bowl is always a good choice.
