12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a transparent golden; fluffy eggshell white head that fades and leaves nice retention and decent lacing. The aromas have your typical cinnamon spices. There's also some caramel malts in the mix. The flavors really match. Lots of earthy notes that blend with the spices. Graham cracker and whipped cream in the mix. Cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg pave the way. Lots of caramel. Subtle spiciness. It has a wonderful aftertaste. Mouthfeel is has a great body to it for being such a light beer; active carbonation. Alcohol obviously goes unnoticed and it's very easy to drink. Aromas and flavors really develop as it warms up.

The thing I always loved about this beer is that they use fresh pumpkins. It's basically your typical pumpkin ale, but is somewhat unique. Not bad. It's enjoyable.

This is shockingly good I haven't drank many pumpkin ales this year because of the overkill the style has done to me in the past, but this is really tasty. Pours hazy amber with a big cream colored head, heavy chunky lace left behind. Aroma full of pumpkin spice and caramelized sugars it even has actual pumpkin flesh notes. Liquefy pumpkin pie and there you have it, this beer. Spice notes nutmeg, allspice, brown sugar all wound into a puree' of caramelized pumpkin flesh, very good I'm about to blend this beer with Old Leg Humper to blend in some roasted malt elements. Standout beer from the 12 pack sampler I bought, goes down extremely easy for a spiced vegetable beer.

Another pumpkin beer on our tasting list.
Poured an orange-amber color, slightly hazy, lots of carbonation bubble streams keep the white head.
The aroma has lots of spices, cinnamon and nutmeg most dominant. The taste followed the same pumpkin pie type spices, lots of malt base and a touch of hop in the finish.
Light body and lots of carbonation (as noted above), keep it easy to drink.
Overall, another very good version of a pumpkin ale.

2012 batch, 12 oz bottle poured into snifter.

A: Pours an orange, slight head that dissipates early. Carbonation bubbles continue to rise. Fairly clear, can see shape of finger through the glass.

S: Smells great, esp for a 5% beer. Spices, pumpkin shine.

T: Tastes like a session pumpkin beer should. Strong pumpkin flavor with some spice and cinnamon coming through. Just a tasty beer.

M: Thin body, with some of the spice hitting the tongue. Carbonation is evident on the palate.

O: A great lower alcohol pumpkin beer. It won't stand up to the likes of a pumking, but its one of the best sessionable pumpkin beers on the market. I really enjoy this one.

A: Pours a crystal clear medium copper in color with some orange highlights and moderate to significant amounts of visible carbonation. The beer has a half finger tall off white head that reduces to a large patch of thick film covering the majority of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of pumpkin and pumpkin pie spices - specifically cinnamon and nutmeg stand out.

T: Moderate flavors of caramel malts with slightly stronger flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg, and pumpkin. Light notes of hops.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.

O: Well balanced both between the malts and hops as well as between the spices and pumpkin. Very enjoyable and easy to drink...would be good for turkey day.

I recently purchased this at The Fridge for at-home consumption. It is that time of the year ...

From the bottle: "Ale Brewed with Pumpkin, Honey & Spices"; "Brewed with summer's harvest of 5 varieties of pumpkin locally grown for the brewery and by the brewery. All are hand selected and carmelized [sic] just prior to brewing. You will not find this beer before seeing the first pumpkin for sale on the roadside market. Only the freshest ingredients combined with our pumpkins give you a rich creamy golden orange ale that tastes great all fall."

My pour produced two-plus fingers of dense, tawny head with excellent retention. Color was a deep-orangish amber with NE-quality clarity. Nose was very spicy with notes of cinnamon, clove and allspice. Mouthfeel was slightly full, but not really "creamy" and not only did the spices translate well on the tongue, but I also tasted vanilla. Finish was sweet as you might expect from the style. This was a good version of the style, not great, but not as bad as some that I have tried and I have been a fan of the style going 'way back.
