12 oz bottle into old spec pint glass. my goodness is that an ugly design for a beer: a fat guy wearing some leather with some dogs? really?

A - off white head due to the body, which is a darker amber/ orange colour. body is wholly clear, and has a good lot of bubbles coming up from the bottom. head is rich and creamy, leaving much lace behind; the time for the foam to settle is a good while, and the abundant lacing gives the slight illusion that the foam is still quite high.

S - nose is basically different iterations of hops. the most noticeable incarnation is the grapefruity, citric bitter nose. the next is, well a bit difficult to figure out, but it seems to be a bit of pine, none of the herbals that go with it though. the nose is fairly one sided, but the way the grapefruit hops come across is quite strong and marvelous smelling. the malts make a faint appearance at the way back of the nose, they pretty much keep the hops in (moderate) check. malts are pretty sweet, when noticeable, and have a bit of a caramel character.

T - its bitter, but not what one would expect from the nose. the hops come out in full force again, and pretty much dominate the mouth. initial taste bitter hops on the tip of the tongue, a good grapefruit profile, and slight piney sentiments. the initial is indeed a wide profile many hop tastes. some malts are noticeable if one swished the brew in mouth.the finish is no where near as strong, it is slightly bitter, but the malts begin to catch up. the aftertaste is slightly bitter, the malts are working hard to keep their sweetness up and the overall bitterness down; the bitterness is just a plain of hop bitter.

MF&D - the feel is a tad bit watery at moments. the carbonation is pretty ample and gives some good belches. the drinkability is great if one likes bitter beers; its goes down easy when cold, but the cold doesnt sacrifice any of the flavours.

Clearance shelf, no clue of age.

Pours a brilliant copper with a frothy cream head that leaves sheets of lacing as it slowly dissipates.

Sharp citrus, resin, and sweet, bready, toasted caramel malt form the aroma. There's a bit of floral hop character at the finish.

Flavor is dominated by toasted, bready malt, slightly sweet caramel, which finishes a bit resiny and bitter. Tart, indescernible citrus adds contrast.

Body is a bit watery, with slightly low carbonation adding to the watery character. There's a little slickness that lingers.

Good malt character, albeit a bit too dominant. The flavoring hops are somewhat one-note. Bitterness is too high for my liking.

Pours a clear medium amber with a slight red hue. Nice head with ample lacing that retains well. Nose is of mild pine and citrus hops over caramel. Light medium body with a somewhat smooth texture. Above average carbonation level with a nice bit of effervescence. The flavor profile is well balanced, but not very complex. It begins with citric and pine hop flavor, then flows to a bitterness with citrus zest aspects against a slight pine background. The crisp finish effervesces with a touch of caramel sweetness in the background of a grapefruit zest bitterness. Quite tasty.
