Notes/Commercial Description:
This beer is made with one grain and 4 Belgian yeasts, a deceptive golden color, and a malty palate lend complexity to this Belgian Trippel Ale.

Served in a Duvel tulip.
Thanks to Hopswagger for this one!

A - Pours a dark amber with a chilled haze. The foam settles into a thin cap with little to no lacing.

S - Potent fruit bread, pungent fruity alcohol, spicy yeast, cherries, over ripe pears, gala apples, peach cobbler, a twist of citrus, almond extract, sweet and bready pale and caramel malts, phenolic a are low with hard candy sweetness coming out as it warms.

T - Thick sweet malts start things off with a backing of Marciano cherries, pears, green figs, stone fruit (mainly peaches), apples, and some orange citrus. Sweet honey bread, caramel malt, faint grassy and citrus hops lingering in the background adding light bitterness.

M - Ultra creamy and smooth feel, full bodied, great carbonation, sweet and sticky.

This is a knockout American made Tripel. One if the better ones I've had from the states. It doesn't have the typical deep Belgian yeast profile as the ones from Belgium but everything in this beer works together for the greater good. A must try.

12 ounce bottle into chalice, no bottle dating. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy orange amber color with a 1-2 finger dense light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big apricot, peach, pear, apple, orange peel, honey, candi sugar, bread, clove, light pepper, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast and malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big apricot, peach, pear, apple, orange peel, honey, bread, candi sugar, clove, herbal, floral, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of apricot, peach, pear, apple, orange, honey, bread, candi sugar, clove, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity of fruity/earthy yeast and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast flavor balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a smooth and moderately slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent tripel style! All around great complexity and balance of fruity/earthy yeast ester and malt flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the big ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Tangerine amber color. Not much lace. A ring of foam.

Buttery phenols, breadiness, honey, clove, nectary fruit, and lots of booze. Maybe some slight oxidation.

Syrupy malts with buttery breadiness, honey, and some pomme fruitiness. Treacle, rosy booze, and some apricot. Heavy-duty without the complexity.

Semi-spicy with wet booziness. Body is sticky thick, not in a good way.

Not my fave, but it'll "do" for the night. A weaker tripel, compared to the authentic Belgians.
