Poured from a bottle (no freshness info) into a Goose Island tulip. The pour is a nice hazy honey color with about a finger of fluffy white head. It's thin and dissipates quickly, but does leave some nice lacing. The nose has that unmistakable aroma of citra hops: sweet oranges, grapefruit, lemon, and ripe peaches.
The beer has a body just on the light side of medium and has a nice, pleasant hop character that's not overly aggressive. You get some toast and marmalade flavors up front and then a nice wave of lemon and orange rind, but you can still taste that malt sweetness underneath. The finish is quite dry and leaves a lingering orange and lemon rind flavor behind. Very appetizing beer.
I am disappointed in this beer. Not that there's anything wrong with it, I'm disappointed I only bought a single and not a 6-pack (see what I did there?). I might have to rectify that tomorrow when I visit the beer store again. This is a nice IPA with some really good, fruity bitterness. That's the kind I like. It kind of reminds me of Schlafly's Tasmanian IPA, only with a bit more sweetness underneath and a touch more body.

Pours a clear light amber with a massive head and lacing that retains very well. The nose is a blend of tropical citrus notes and grapefruit over a toasted malt background sweetness. Almost medium bodied with a slick texture approaching creamy. Slightly above average carbonation level with a bit of effervescence on the finish. The flavor profile is a well balanced blend of citra hop flavor and bitterness over an underlying toasted malt sweetness. It begins with the citrus flavors, progresses to a citrus and grapefruit rind bitterness that is mellowed by a toasted sweetness. Quite nice. Nice smooth finish that leads as slightly sweet then flows into a nice citrus bitterness that lingers just the right amount along with a bit of tartness. This dog can hunt.
