Poured from 12oz bottle into standard pint glass.
Looks nice golden yellow body, slight haze, small frothy white head which retained throughout.
Smell was all about sweet fruity hops. Very inviting.
Taste was what you would expect from the smell, mostly grapefruity hops, a fresh and sparkling beverage indeed.
Mouhtful was slightly off putting in that the grapefruit taste never left the mouth. I had to take a 15 minute break to take care of "stuff", and the grapefruit did not diminsh one bit. Now, I like grapefruit, but can imaging it would take some serious palate cleansing before moving on to something different. Mouth was a bit dry as well.
Having said that, overall a very tasty beer for the summer months. Thank you Thirsty Dog.

$2.75 bottle from Abe's.
Got to love a beer with Krypto on the label.
Golden orange body that glows on the outside, chill haze at the center. Three fingers of micro-bubbly pure white foam. No initial lacing.
Huge inviting aroma of grapefruit, orange, mango, and assorted other citrus.
Small malt footprints. An orchard of juicy fruit. Big bitter bite that lingers on and on. I might still taste this in the morning. And like it.
Light-medium mouthfeel with tickles he tongue.
Really like this. Will look for this again.

What can be said stellar appearance when you look a the beer and the packaging, however they are jumping on the Citra bandwagon to no avail. First things first IPA is all about the balance between hop flavor, bitterness, and malt balance. This beer lacks cohesion but I'm still interested. The stats are right 95 IBUs, 6.5 abv, but taste it let it coast the palate, appears a beautiful pale copper orange hue slightly off white head leaves fine even bands of lacing no complaints. Nose has big citric notes with swelling herbaceous earthy hops exploding, after that it's minimal malt biscuit notes and pretty one dimensional. Flavor very dank citric and herbal hops providing thoughts of orange peel and marijuana...I'm not a smoker in that regards but the beer speaks for itself. Malts appear in the background a bit of biscuit malt dry finish for sure this beer is a hopheads beer, I enjoy some of the other Citra hopped beers a bit more like White Rajah and Zombie Dust just due to balance but this beer is a true hop assault. Mouthfeel is oily slick with hop resins abound carbonation carries you through the hop swamp carbonation works well at a comfortable level going down with each sip. Overall I'm proud to be drinking another Ohio brewed Citra based IPA!!!

12 Fl. Oz. bottle
Served in a perfect pint glass
A - It has a golden body with two inches of white head.
S - I get some floral and citrus hops. I also get a metallic smell.
T - It has a metallic bitterness to it. The metallic taste fades quickly to leave a bitter citrus flavor.
M - Moderate with prickly carbonation.
O - This is the first IPA that I have seen from Thirsty Dog. It is decent, and I would drink it again , but it was not as good as I'd hoped.

12oz, Summer '13
Founders Doom glass
A: Slight chill haze. A lighter colored orange. Thin layer of bright white that faded quickly. Carbonation is fine.
S: Definitely smelling that Citra blast. Big fruity notes: orange and tangerine. Mango. Some sweet malts behind it. Doesn't smell overly bitter.
T: Bitterness right up front on the tip of the tongue. That grows on you during the sip and elongates. Again, delicious Citra hop fruitiness. Citrus, tropical fruit, juicy fruit bubble gum, etc. There is a little bit of sweet malt but or the most part this is a hop bomb. Finish is dry and bitter.
M: This is more medium bodied than their described "full".

12oz bottle poured into wine glass.
Appearance-pours a very light amber, with a small 1 finger white head. Great lacing. 3.75
Aroma-very citrusy, lots of grapefruit, pineapple, and mango. Some dank pine also seeping through. Truly a great smelling IPA. 4.25
Taste-lots of bitterness, grapefruit with its peel, overripe pineapple. Malts seem to be a little over whelmed with the hops. This beer is about the bitter punch you get on the front of the tongue, after that fades it has a tough time coming up with more flavor. 4.5
Feel-medium body, ABV is low and non existent, this whole reeks havoc on your palate, mucho bitter. 4
Overall-this has all of the flavors of a DIPA and is more bitter than most I've had recently. It packs a hell of a punch for $11 bucks a sixer and under 7 ABV. I am really digging this one, not sure if its a year round or a one off, but I need to get my hands on more. 4.5

Poured into a nonic a dull brass color with a tightly formed lacey half finger white head atop.Aromas seem to be quite sweet and sugary with a big splash of citrusy hops, almost DIPAish in nature to me.Flavors are a citrusy bomb with big sugary sweetness along with caramel, the hops are big and so is the sweetness.Wow this is as close to tasting like a DIPA at 6.5% as you can get in my opinion with it's sweetness and hops mixture.
