330 ML bottle poured into a tulip
Got it from a Moo Brew rep. Mucho Gusto

A-- Poured a clear honey orange color. Nice, small stream of carbonation beads with this. Thick one finger bright white head with this. Had to swirl aggressively to get it though. Settled nicely at half a finger. Left a few strands of lacing with this. Nice looking.

S-- Get Belgian yeast and a lot of orange, lemon grass, and lemon/ orange rind. Good nose.

T-- Candied orange, candied lemon but falls off quickly to a thin, watery taste. Finishes with a bit of a tart lemon and orange kick.

M-- Thin, quite thin. Light carbonation for this and shows how thin the body is. Needs a bigger malt body as the flavors really drop off until the finish. Lingering but tart slight lemon finish does help but the mid is just bland.

O-- Nice in some ways and in others just bland. Up the malt and AVB to 5.5% or near 6% and this would be quite nice and refreshing. Low ABV shows a very thin, watery body. Intentions are good but intentions are not enough.

Pours a golden Belgian colour, clear with off-white head. Decent Belgian head that sticks around nice. A little bit clear and fizzy-looking, but OK.

Bit simple on the nose. Decent fruity characters and a fair phenolic note coming through as well. Touch of pine and quite mediciney towards the back. Not bad but not great.

A little flat on the palate too, lacking a bit in complexity. Fairly yeasty and that yeast lends a fair few Belgian spicy phenols to the proceedings, but there's a dry booze note as well and quite mediciney towards the back. Can't say I'm a big fan.

Alcohol is there mostly in flavour, not in heat. Body is on the thin side, but decent texture otherwise.

Nothing really appealing about this brew, it's fairly standard and not particularly tasty. I've had better Belgian pales and better beers from Moorilla.

Had on-tap at GABS in Melbourne earlier in the year. Only just getting around to entering reviews.

Pours a deep golden colour with good clarity. Body is pretty light, and the head forms a fine ring of whitish-grey foam. Lace is decent, carbonation is abundant. Looks decent.

Not much on the nose: just a few loose grainy characters and a hint fo sharp phenols from the Belgian yeast. Very little else in the way of depth or interest, however.

Similar profile to the palate. Light grainy characters with a thin-reedy whine through the centre that doesn't really leave anything. Phenols come through again on the back, leaving a touch of Belgian estery spice and some medicinal characters, but badabing we're done and that's all that we get. Feels very light on.

Eh. Not particularly good. This is a pretty drab attempt at a Belgian, and Moo Brew haven't really had a good stab at it.

no BB date - from Beer Cartel.

Pours a clear gold. One finger pillowy flluffy head dies quickly to a film. Spotty lace.

Intense yeast and lemons on nose. Add in sherbert and bubblegum.

I know what it should taste like after that nose, but the reality is duller. Almost earthy malts take over with a nasty sharp lemon aftertaste. Light taste overall. In a bad way.

Mouthfeel is super-light, and srpritzy/fizzy.

Not really hitting my buttons. I think there is a reason Duvel do not brew Duvel Lite.

Pours amber with a large, fading head.
Nose shows phenolic and estery Belgian yeast, along with the typical doughy notes. Also present is some soft fruity hops with hints of grapefruit, but mainly its the apple/pear notes from the yeast. A little faint.
The flavours are also more Belgian than American, with more light fruit, alcohol and doughy notes showing. Underneath is some sweet bready malt and caramel, followed by a bold, sharp bitterness, showing the American influences.
Body could be a little lighter.

Not very often a craft brewery puts on a new year round beer. Well, not in Tassie anyway. And as much as I enjoy the other Moo Brew beers, I knew this would not disappoint. 2L will not last long.

Clear copper golden, low-medium carbonation. Second pour from the growler produces a nice thin frothy head just off white in colour.

Subtle aroma gives hints at where this beer is going. And as a hybrid it combines the influences well. Hints of spicy Belgian yeast work with rather than against the floral hops. Nice background of light malt sweetness keeps the edges from getting rough. Very nice.

Taste as well presents US and Belgian characters nicely. Light malt with a decent hop character and a spicy finish.

Tough to score this to style but very easy to drink. A nice addition to their range and mixes well with the rest of the range. Certainly one to look out for.
