Looks like an oktoberfest almost. Overripe peach colored without a head.

Peachy thick with some sugars and caramel in the nose. Hints of wood with some other fruit esters.

Thick malts with a tingly carbonation that is full and enamoring. Peach isn't as predominant in the mouth and shows a tangy bite withough and residual sugars. Wood does well and hides the 14%ABV. Refreshing and very easy drinking considering the ABV.

A: Golden amber color, hazy. A minimal head dissipates immediately.

S: Malts, caramel, wood, fruitiness with an obvious yet restrained peachy character. The alcohol is present and gives the smell a sweet liqueur-like quality.

T: Sweet caramel maltiness and fruity aromas. More sweet peaches than in the smell, but still not very powerful. The peaches are genuine rather than candy-like. Vanilla and grass. Some dusty funky notes and oak. The sweetness is accompanied by a gentle tartness. The finish is really dry with plenty of alcohol and tart peaches.

M: Medium body, smooth texture with a dry finish.

D: A good beer. At 14% ABV, the alcohol is really well hidden and integrated with the flavors and aromas. I have another bottle of this and it will be interesting to see what a year of two in the cellar will do to this one.

750 mL bottle poured into a plastic cup.

Appearance - Burnt orange body. Medium white head. Medium collar after it settles.

Smell - Peach aroma. Strong alcohol. Not sure what the base beer is supposed to be, but it smells pretty malty. Caramel malt.

Taste - Strong slightly tart peach. Caramel malt, but very dry. Boozy with a little bit of bitterness.

Mouthfeel - Boozy. Kinda harsh. Medium high carbonation.

Overall - The peach seems like a strange addition. Harsh beer.

Thanks to Derek for sending me a growler of this beer. Shared with some other skilled tickers at the Bruery.

A: The pour is a dark amber color with a thin off-white/khaki head. The growler leaked a bit on the way, so the carbonation is a bit less than optimal.

S: Lots of peaches on the nose, certainly living up to the name of the beer. A slight lactic tartness to it as well as some metallic notes, caramel malts, and a hint of oak.

T: A mild spice character to the beer that I didn't really pick up on the nose. The acidity is more noticeable on the palate than it was on the nose as well, and a huge amount of peach flavor. Some other fruit notes such as cherries. Fairly sweet, too, despite the -bal aging, sourness, and fruit.

M: The body is medium with a low to medium carbonation, leaning on the low side.

D: You definitely have to like peaches to enjoy this one. A bit sweeter than I was expecting, but certainly as advertised...

Appearance: Pours a hazed, dark golden-amber body with no head, but a glass-lining white ring.

Smell: Generously aromatic mixture of malts and funk-n-sour-scented peaches dosed with peach schnapps.

Taste: Sweet malts infused with peach nectar and light traces of the wine barrel aging shining through. Sour and tart flourishes of lacto and brett. Slight hint of oak. The finish is bone dry with small, lasting touches of sour fruit.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-high carbonation.

Drinkability: 14% ABV seems to be a curious claim. Well, if they insist. Still though, it's quite drinkable regardless of how much alcohol is present and fairly interesting overall. Nice stuff, Livery!
