A: pours a deep crimson red with a small off white head that quickly fades to a small collar around the edge of a duvel tulip. after awhile the collar goes away too.
S: smells of slight funk, acetic and lactic sourness and some raspberry
T: good tartness up front with some raspberry flavor, slight funk with a bit of vanilla and oak with a bit of musty flavor a bit of sourness on the back end along with some more raspberry and the swallow brings a good sour bite, more raspberry and a bit more oak and funk
M: medium in the mouth with very soft and almost nonexistent carbonation. drying finish
O: Looks great, smells good and tastes pretty good too. the sourness isn't over the top so it allows some of the other flavors to shine. I would have liked to see a bit more carbonation out if it but it doesn't detract too much from the beer.

Thanks to Sawyer for this one. Review from notes.
A: Pours a nice red color with some pinkish hue to it. A very small off-white head that had minimal retention. No lacing on this one.
S: Nice raspberry on the aroma, slightly sweet. A bit of vinegar and some hay/must/barnyard as well, which begins to take over a bit with warmth.
T: More raspberry with a bit of oak and a touch of vanilla up front. Some deep tannins and a surprising amount of caramel.
M: Medium bodied with low to medium carbonation.
O: A nice little wild ale, was very pleased with what I was able to try at the Livery on tap, and now some of their bottles.

750mL bottle from the recent Livery release (thanks Jim!!). The label describes this as "Belgian style amber ale aged in oak barrels with red raspberries", so basically a framboise (but I added it under the American Wild category as it doesn't feel appropriate to call it a fruit lambic).
I'd heard that the brewer recommended letting this age for a few months to encourage carbonation but I was sort of anxious to try at least one of their bottles. The second Sunday of the 2012 NFL season looked like a good reason to do it, opened at kick-off of the battle of OH. Anyway, the cap came off with a slight pfft sound.
It pours a beautiful red color with some fine floaties providing some light scattering. Very few bubbles on top initially, and what little was there disappeared immediately. Strong raspberry in the aroma, also an authentic sour component that could come straight out of Payottenland.
The flavor doesn't quite live up to the aroma, but it's only because the bar is so high. Early in the sip there's sourness, later in the sip some light fruit, late in the sip a lingering bitterness. A small amount of solvent, not much. Really pretty good overall, the only failure being some mismatch with the worl-class aroma.
Light bodied with low carbonation, although there was some noticeable bubbling on the tongue. Not bad, possibly should have aged another month or two but really was glad to get to it while the raspberries were fresh.
