I visited this spot on the first day in Australia. WE go around lunch on a fairly warm day.
We walked in and there are several table and chair setups plus a few lounge chairs in one corner. Most wall space is painted red and there is a framed display case of several beer bottles in a corner. There are about 7 taps running (house wheat, beez neez, coopers, carlton and others) and they offer 10-12 bottles as well. Mostly mainstream Aussie beers plus some bigger imports. The house beer is redback wheat and is contracted out to Matilda Bay. I sample this beer on the visit and find it enjoyable.
There is a billiards table near the bathrooms and I think I recall a TV in that area as well. We order some lunch food and I have a beef burger which comes stacked with an egg, onion, lettuce, tomato, bacon, cheese and some other goodies. What a burger. Also a side of chips. Quite tasty! My wife ordered a chicken sandwich and chips as well that she enjoyed. The food seems to be typical pub grub and our local friend says they make good pizza as well.
Overall this is a decent spot but I was bummed that the house beer is contracted out now, makes the establishment name a little misleading. Would be a decent spot to hang on a weekend I think.

The Red Back Hotel. Serves Red back beer with a slice of lemon. Where did they get that idea from? I dont know but I hate it with lemon.
A = Pretty good atmosphere. Not too crowded. Lots of seating and on certain nights there are trivia games which are fun.
Q = Place is clean. They serve beer. So I guess average.
S = Service is quick and efficient. Normal service I guess.
S = Selection of beer is limited. Only Redback, beez neez, cascade pale ale and carlton draught. The beers in bottles are the usual fare. Cascade, coopers, fosters etc...
F = Food is good and reasonably priced. Not cheap. Not expensive.
