Thanks to chickencoop for this bottle
Appearance is clear pale yellow with an off white head that falls to a skim. The smell is of nice delicate sweet malt with a light hop bitterness noticeable. Also a slight fruitiness. The taste pretty much follows the smell. The fruitiness is a little more pronounced. Dry slightly bitter aftertaste. Pretty tasty.
Mouthfeel is quite nice. Body is on the heavy side of light with a slight oily feel. Active carbonation - pretty smooth.
Overall I was pretty happy with this lager. Very drinkable and tasty.

Yellow-gold pale lager color. Raw honey, grain, and corn aroma. The taste actually has an indication of beer ingredients. Shockingly enough. More corn taste but the hops are detectable and a light malt sweetness. Not much else. It's beer. I like it more than some, but less than others.

Review from BeerAdvocate Magazine Issue #32 (Sep 2009):

"Imported from the Roof of the World"--there is a lot of truth in their marketing, as this beer is brewed at nearly 12,000 feet above sea level.

Sweet malt aroma has a shortbread-like quality, and the hops throw a bit of spice into the nose. Very clean and grassy, the 30-percent use of huskless Tibetan barley gives it a unique grainy flavor with earthy complexities. Relatively dry throughout. Light on the hops, it would have been extra nice to see a bit more spicing and bitterness from the Saaz, but everything is still in balance. Not much in the aftertaste ... clean, clean and clean.

Asian Lagers tend to get a bad rap as they usually come from a similar mold, but Lhasa is a huge exception, as it brings back some excitement to the world of lagers.

Picked this up in Monterey. Said it won a Gold Medal at the World Beer Championships.

Light appearance, yellow, great carbonation, head the developed wasn't much, but was long lasting. Aroma was inconsequential.

Had a good amount of taste for style, almost pepperish spice, like from Saaz or Munich hops. Maybe both. Really a flavorful lager. Just the right amount of sweetness. Would totally recommend one of these for your girlfriend if she's cute.

Poured a pale golden color with a solid frothy with head. Little retention and very little lacing. Not completely translucent.

On the nose there are subtle hints of pale malt, green grapes and whole pear.

Slightly pale floral flavor notes with a faint smokiness. Anybody would know this is an asian lager in a blind taste test. It gives me an odd yet not unpleasant aftertaste like I ate noodles.

Light bodied and easy to drink with medium carbonation.

Overall it's ok. Its light and refreshing. I'd probably never have it again unless I played golf in China and a sexy golf cart girl was slangn' it.

A fizzy pour with a finger and half of head on a hazy, light straw colored body.
The aroma is nice. Honey and floral for the most part.
The taste is grainy with mild bitterness and a touch of honey sweetness.
A soft texture with moderate carbonation and medium body.
It's a euro pale lager unlike any I've had. Quite aromatic and good flavor.

Big thanks goes out to chickencoop for sending me this as an extra in a recent trade! Served from bottle into a Grolsch Pilsner. Poured straw yellow with a three finger pure white head that subsided to one finger slowly. Maintained nice lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, skunky hop, wheat, and corn. The flavor was of sweet malt, wheat, corn, skunky hop, and floral notes. It had a light feel on the palate with medium-high carbonation. Overall I didn't really like this one that much. While there was a lot going on in the flavor and aroma on this one it was just not the right characteristics that I enjoy in my beer. The wheat and corn killed this one for me, but when combined with skunky hops; it basically shot itself in the face. Glad I got to try it, but definitely won't be doing so again.

Clear medium orange amber with a fast fading white head.

Nose is green bananas and pleasant floral tones.

Mouthfeel is thin but bright, well balanced and inviting.

Flavors are subdued with some light elegant complexities of green pepper, celery/salt, green herbs and a light pine bitter finish.

This is a drinkable pleasant beer that's well made and a pleasant pale ale to which one could always turn and not be disappointed.

(12oz bottle courtesy of chickencoop!). Pours hazy golden with white head. Aroma of faint lavender and somewhat perfumey. Taste is sweet with a little hop bite at the end. Lighter bodied with a slight bitter finish. Perfectly drinkable beer. Pretty good.

Bottle: Poured a light yellow color lager with a small pure white bubbly head with average retention and no lacing. Aroma of light crisp hops is quite subtle with lightly sweet malt notes. Taste somewhat bland with light notes of Saaz hops and a lightly sweet malt backbone. Carbonation is too low for style and this is too boring to be a regular beer around my place.

Review from 3/2010 notes. Poured into a Gulden Draak tulip. Pours a light, clear yellow amber, slight head. Aroma of light fruit, hops, earthy. Appears to be an ordinary pale lager, but sour and hoppy. Light to medium body. No outstanding features. An unremarkable pale ale. I like the idea, but this is a miss.

Very colorful and interesting label give this beer a good presentation. Pours a light yellow color with a thick cap of white foam. Retention is quite nice and leaves some good lacing on the glass.

Nose is light and grainy with a bit of a floral hop aroma. Very clean, fresh smelling beer...certainly no flaws detectable in the smell.

What's this? Some hops in my pale lager? Surprisingly good, quasi-pilnerish. Malts are oh so light and airy they are almost non-existent, could use a bit of a bump in body. Extremely refreshing and clean beer with a nice hop presence. Pretty damn tasty, easily the best Euro pale lager I have had to date.

Tibet Lhasa (Export)

Appearance: Straw yellow, medium head, and some lacing.

Smell: Red apples, pears, and slight grain.

Taste: Slight hops, some fruit, corn, and grain.

Mouthfeel: Light.

Overall:
This is an average brew. The fruit flavors are pleasant. The flavor fades fast and a slight alcohol tinge rests on the back of your tongue.

Appearance - Pale yellow that had a quickly dissipating snow white head. Very well carbonated. Surprisingly leaves a decent amount of lacing on the glass.

Smell - Caught a slightly hoppy mostly malty lager smell. Nothing impressive.

Taste - The slight hop smell reflects in the tasting of this beer. Crisp and light, it refreshes you in a way that is ideal for a summer time party. I actually feel it's a little too light and needs more of a heavy feel to balance the beer out.

Mouthfeel - Smooth with a dry finish.

Drinkability - I could knock these back all day! It's not a phenomenal beer. Nothing groundbreaking, but it's a solid beer for when you just wanna gather up your friends and drink.

Overall while I was not too impressed with this beer, I will most certainly visit it again when I just want a beer. Nothing crazy and filled with tons of different flavors, just a beer.

Appearance: Hazy medium golden in color, with a modest white head, which retains fairly well. The lacing is, surprisingly, Belgian-like. The carbonation is slight.

Aroma: Moderate noble hop presence, with some bread or cracker malt, almost like an understated Pilsener.

Taste: A pleasant and fairly robust noble hop presence pens the taste, again somewhat like a Pilsener. Moderately toasted malt throughout, like biscuit, or a lightly toasted bread. Finishes with a mild hop bitterness, which manages to linger on.

Mouth feel: Smooth and pleasant, just a touch thin.

Drinkability/notes: A surprisingly decent example. I began with modest expectations of this beer, but those expectation were greatly exceeded. Certainly woth a try.

Presentation: Packaged in a twelve-ounce brown glass long-neck bottle with a pry-off crown, served in a New Belgium Brewing chalice.

Clear golden colored beer with a good sized white head.

Noble hops and very herbal, this has a strong hop load for a regular lager, much more like a pilsner. Strong Saaz scent lots of grass and hat with a streak of saffron in it. Spicy to the nose this is a much better beer that I was expecting.

Starts out spicy and grassy on the tongue with a stout bitterness to it. Strong Saaz flavor herbal and grassy with a sharp bitter bite. Mostly this is dry but there is a bit of pilsner malt detectable.

Mouthfeel is good.

Very good drinkability and a lot better than I expected. This is in the wrong classification, this is a pilsner.

Pours a hazy yellow gold with almost no head. Aroma is very interesting: buttered toast with lemon marmalade, earthy honey, and floral grass. Very light / thin entry. Taste is sweet, a bit dry, grassy with some malty aftertaste. Goes down fast. Easy drinker for anytime.

A: Pretty cloudy for a pale lager. Loose white head and pale gold body. Tiny bubbled carbonation.

S: Fresh and clean. I wouldn't mind smelling like this beer! It reminds me of getting out of the shower. Clean herbs and citrus brightness like lemons and calamansi.

T: Bolder and more complex than I thought based on the smell, type, and appearance. It's got some bitter, grapefruity hops up front and a kind of shadowy sweetness. Taste is much stronger than it would seem. While complex, there seem to be a lot of similar things going on here...grapefruit, bitter greens, and a little spiciness come into play.

M: Crisp and thin. Has the mouthfeel of a summer beer although it has the flavor of a fall beer.

O: Interesting for sure. Don't personally love it, but I can see some strange appeal. Something about it makes me want to drink more...

Thanks to chickencoop for the extra. Reviewed from notes.

Pours a golden color with a white head and a bit of lacing. The nice brings a bit of pepper and spice, zesty hops, and a bit of light grain. The flavor is mostly grain with a bit of spice and some mild bitterness. Crisp carbonation on a light body. Drinks fairly well, but nothing truly special about it.
