Just wrapped up the review of Rally Cap ale, might as well jump on this grenade now. I can't tell the difference between the two. They both had a baseball motif to them. Summer Ale's is more retro.
Both pour yellow with nearly 1/2" white head and some clarity. Aroma of grain mildness and a lemondrop.
Taste is much the same, there is a big blast of carbonation providing a lighter mouth feel of summer wheat like dimensions. Hops are minimal. Its kind of like a milder Summerfest, which is what Rally Cap was. Whereas there were some thicker white ale wheat type beers that got big with putting an orange wedge in them, this one felt like there was already a lemon wedge placed in the glass, or if not that, that it was actually brewed with lemon rind at times.
There were very few things Pete's did "poorly" but the rare occasion became more commonplace the more they strayed from the light of their flagship Wicked Ale.

Petes Wicked Ales were some of the first craft/non-Bud style beers that started me on the road to realy good beer. This one has a light golden yellow color with a small soapy white head which fades out quickly. There is not much in the aroma except a very mild cereal like gain with a faint citrus like hops in the background. This is exactly what my tongue picks up on in the flavor which comes on a light thin palate. Overall it was just an easy drinking so so beer.
