Presentation: 12 oz brown logn neck bottle. No freshness date.
Appearance: Clear, golden straw color with a thin pure white head.
Smell: Smell of unsweetened strawberry store brand jam, some dextrin sweetness is a bit cloying. Other than that it has a clean nose.
Taste: Light to medium body with an up front crisp carbonation, thin malt palate with some left over dextrin floating around. Hops are there just to balance the dextrin and strawberry flavour so it does not seem to close to a wine cooler. Thankfully a handful of grain comes through and shows off some beer character, alcohol is slightly noticeable with a touch or warmth. The fruit (strawberry) flavour is not too over done and seems withdrawn compared to the old “Pete’s” version. This brew end towards dryness though it wants to be sweet.
Notes: A fruit beer is a fruit beer, at least this is not a wine cooler. Aimed at the chick beer drinking crowd or the guy who is a girl drink drunk.

12oz bottle poured into a nonic pint glass
The beer pours a clear golden honey amber with a quick dying one fingered white head. After the pour the beer looks relatively lifeless in the glass, similar to an apple juice. The color alone shows that real fruit was not used in this beer.
The smell is pretty sweet with a noticeable strawberry like aroma. It's similar to a strawberry hard candy to me. It's pretty one dimensional and dull.
The strawberry in the aroma doesn't follow to the taste as much except for a sweet finish. The flavor starts off very bland with a little graininess, maybe corn. The strawberry flavor comes through in the finish but is much more muted than I would have thought. For a beer designed like this a little more fruit flavor would have been complimentary.
The label denotes this beer as a lager. The mouthfeel and finish seemed out of place to me. It was pretty full bodied lacking any sort of clean and crispness. The drinkability was decent. A fairly neutral unoffensive beer which seems like a acceptable substitute to BMC beers during a picnic where no other options present themselves.

One of the nastier drinks I have come across in my life. It poured a golden color with a head that left as quickly as it came. The smell was of sugar and strawberries. The taste was about the same, with nothing to ballance out the overly sweet strawberrty syrup flavor. This is defianantly aimed at the chicks who hate the taste of beer. This is the last time I ever have this crap for sure.

i was suprised at the number of poor reviews of this beer. I would not clasify this a chic beer, of the smifnoff ice crowd. This is a fruit beer which happens to be a strawberry flavored brew. IT WILL BE SOMEWHAT SWEET! Knowing that before you drink it, it has a good flavor. It dose have a taste, a beer taste, not a soda taste. I do not know how anyone could compare this to smirnoff ice, it is a REAL beer a FRUIT beer, and a good one at that.

This one poured a clean and clear, golden color with a thin white head that faded quickly. The aroma was a pleasant blend of light malts, wheat and strawberries. The flavors were light and subdued. Light malts, light wheat, light honey sweetness and tart strawberries. The body was light with a slick texture and very little carbonation. Overall it is a good summery beer and would make a nice alternative to Bud or Miller at an outdoor party or bbq.

Bought a single of this swill at Vahey's Liquors on Main Street in Watertown.
First thing I thought to myself was shouldn't this at least have a hint of fruit taste? Nothing, it was was a bland, non descript taste of sweetness and a wee bit of malt. Three sips in and I was wishing I had a cidar jack, at least that tastes like you'd think it would. Steer clear of this beer at all costs, it wasn't even good for a novelty.

A perfect beer, for my wife. In seriousness, this actually was not that bad. Pours light amber with a thin white head. Aroma is heavy with strawberries and citrus. Very light and refreshing taste. Mostly strawberries and wheat. Nice to have some beer flavor in there for a change.

poured into a pilsner glass from a brown long necked bottle with a crimped on cap.
Clear, golden color 1" creamy white head dissapated fairly quickly to a slight coating of foam. Some light carbination with a few tiny bubbles rising.
Good clean pleasing strawberry aroma that about it
Clean, some tarty fruitiness with a good moderate strawberry aroma. Not overpowering or offensive. Very pleasing taste.
Light mouthfeel with a nice tangyness. Enjoyable, very drinkable a good summer beer. Not a beer I would buy for myself, but a good beer to have around for the ladies.

A- A golden yellow with a tint of orange, poured white head that quickly dissipated
S- Fresh and clean with a hint of berry
T- Nice sweet taste very very slight strawberry/berry flavor not bad if you don't mind a fruit beer.
M- very smooth almost reminds me more of a cider than a beer
D- Not a bad beer, not the best but not bad. Would be very good on a hot summer day at a BBQ

Light yellow, straw color, very thin head. Looks like Coors light.
Smells very good, definitely strawberry in there, although whether natural or not, who knows, but it wasn't offensive or over the top.
Taste, not bad for a fruit beer. Had worse. Let your girl or, hmmm, alternative lifestyle friend check it out.
Costs too much though.

Clear gold color, better-than-expected head of almost 1/2 an inch and moderate staying power. Laces respectably, in patches. Aroma is lightly fruity, a little artificial but it doesn't knock you over. Lighter body, subdued honey sweetness, moderate strawberry (again, a little artificial but not overwhelming), and a sense of chalkiness and light grain. Finish is a bit candy-like and leaves too much of a sucrose impression, but overall, I'm surprised that this beer is easy-going compared to some other US brews of the same stripe. Like Pyramid Apricot, its not something I'd drink again, but its not too much.

Sampled one of these that my wife had bought.
Poured a darker orange color with a decent amount of white head on it. Smell was OK, the strawberry flavor came through on the nose. Taste left quite a bit to be desired. It tasted very artificial and not very pleasent. Just terrible flavor. Mouthfeel was very light and bubbley but was masked by the taste. Overall not a good beer. I think I heard they're out of business so thankfully I won't see this one again.

Granted, the appearance isn't much. It's not bad-looking in itself, but head is light and lacing is very minimal.
Smell is pretty clean and entirely strawberry. A little artificial perhaps.
Malt and hops are a little thin on the taste though there is a nice flavor of grains in there. Strawberry is of course very strong in this one and it does seem to be for beer what Franzia is to wine. Sweetness is actually not overbearing as tends to be the case with fruit beers and alcohol hovers out of the forefront.
This one is actually pretty smooth with some nice carbonation. Pretty good mouthfeel.
This one won't appeal to most hopheads, as not many fruit or veggie beers would, but I will rate it up from what I would strictly as a beer just for what it's intended to be.

Not too terrible a beer. Visually, a nice slightly deep golden brown. Might be a shade or two of pink, or that could just be my imagination. Smells more strongly of strawberries than a lot of other fruit beers smell like the fruit they claim to involve. Taste has a definite strawberry sweetness to it, along with the usual beer taste.
Really a pretty good beer, though I completely fail to think of where and when I'd really want one. I've had a couple cranberry sauces you could pair it with, if you really wanted a thanksgiving beer, I suppose. Sort of a beer oddity, though rather tasty.

This looks like a really plain blonde ale with an ever so slight tinge of red color. There's not much head or lace to speak of.
The smell packs a pretty big portion of friut. The taste is similar but less appealing. It seems a bit more bitter than it should be.
The finish is close to a crummy lager, which really doesn't help anything.

Pete's Wicked Strawberry Blonde
Left at my house- a beer I would be embarrassed to buy.
Appearance- light yellowy orange with a weak white head.
Smell- strawberries of course, not much else.
Taste- not bad light strawberry flavor and weak malt and hops.
Mouthfeel- watery but not too sweet.
Overall- a girlie beer but its not that bad. Drink on a hot day.

Appearance - For a "Strawberry blonde" it poured pretty pale...
Smell - Smelled alright. Definite artificial berry aroma detected.
Taste - Wasn't bad. A little fruity and carbonated. Aftertaste was definitely a "strawberry blonde".
Mouthfeel - Smooth aside from the carbonation.
Drinkability - I didn't want to stop...but honestly, when do I?
