Frisco Grille recently changed locations to a little bit further down the road. The new place was built specifically for them. It is still a bit in the developmental stage (I hear they are adding a few new TVs soon). They do have a bunch of TVs behind the bar, including 2 large rotated flat screens displaying the current beer list.
Anyway, a place like this, with a very good selection of beers, is almost unheard of in Columbia. That makes this place excellent in my book. Anywhere around here usually has just bud light and miller light on their beer selection, but Frisco offers neither and replaces them with 50 rotating taps and many bottled beers.
The most interesting thing about their 50 taps is that when one keg finishes that one is immediately replaced with a new beer. Therefore, the list of craft beers is never stagnant.
The food is pretty good. I highly recommend the skirt steak.
The servers are friendly and are, for the most part, fairly knowledgeable on the selection of beers.

Frisco Taphouse, in my opinion is one of two beer gems in the Columbia / Elkridge area of Maryland. See the beer store Perfect Pour for the other. By gems, I don't mean to say the best of their kind in the area. I mean to say that it my travels, I've yet to come across any place like them. Central Maryland beer fans, you need to know how good you have it. One of the best brewpubs I have ever been to is Frisco Taphouse.
Frisco has almost everything in a tap house. Their own beer, good food and great beer selection. Routinely offering 50 taps of varying styles, you can always count on something you've never had, and something you know and love. the tough part is choosing which mood you are in. I've logged over 2000 beers and can depend on finding something new every time. I often show up and learn of a brewer new to me.
Service is good, and the bartenders are especially friendly and knowledgable. Not sure what a gueze is? Ask, they likely know.
The only criticism that the place deserves is their beer pricing. Although they often offer rare or generally expensive beers, you only know for sure what your beer will cost once you get the check. This includes the electronic board menus and the on-line beer list, both of which are always up to the minute accurate. Regulars get the "feel" for what they are in for, but everyone else is in for a surprise. And the prices tend to run high. I don't think they even have a happy hour. Oh, you can ask about the price ahead of time - it's just not listed for ease.
I choose my restaurants by beer first, food second, so these idiosyncrasies are very bearable, and merely keep the place from being perfect.

While it might be a bit pricey, the food is really good and the beer selection is awesome. The bartenders don't push Push (their own beer) on you. They will give you a free taste of anything if you ask, and just ask how much a beer is going to cost if you want to know.
