Frisco Tap House started out in 1996 as Frisco Burrito in Towson, MD. It soon expanded to include a location in Columbia, MD offering southwest food and featuring burritos and more specifically a vegetarian burrito. As the small burrito shop in Columbia grew, it took over more space and added a bar offering 20 taps of craft beers, a top shelf collection of Tequilas and a mix of wine and liquor.

Frisco continued to increase its popularity and on most weekend nights was overflowing with “friends” wanting to kick back, relax and have some fun. In December 2010 Frisco became Frisco Tap House and moved to its current Columbia, MD location featuring over 50 rotating craft beers. It experienced immediate success and the “Frisco Family” got bigger and bigger.

A little over a year later Frisco Tap House introduced PUSH American Brewing Company, its own in house craft beer label with brewing on location.

In 2014, owner and operator, Adam Carton decided it was time to expand some more. So he joined forces with Christopher Swann and the new Gambrills location was born. Frisco Tap House II features over 100 rotating craft beers and a dynamite space for enjoying good times with friends. So what are you waiting for? Come out and join us at original Frisco Tap House in Columbia or our newest addition in Gambrills. We cannot wait to share the awesome Frisco experience with you!

Draft list is great and constantly rotating. The food is where this place shines though. Probably the best latkes I've ever had!

I love this place.
A good friend of mine works here so I'm a bit biased on the service. The food is fantastic and the beer choices are always phenomenal. If you're in Columbia for any reason you have to go here after your visit to Perfect Pour of course.

Good bar food, nice beer selection. Updated electronic draft board. Lower rating due to server inability to describe anything about the beers that our party were considering.

Good food, fifty usually well selected brews on tap. Hep even for the hop hound but a few choice selections of other styles. Good wait staff. Noise level high, poor sound system contributes to white noise effect. Parking limited compared to table/bar space.

Frisco Taphouse, in my opinion is one of two beer gems in the Columbia / Elkridge area of Maryland. See the beer store Perfect Pour for the other. By gems, I don't mean to say the best of their kind in the area. I mean to say that, in my travels, I've yet to come across any place like them. Central Maryland beer fans, you need to know how good you have it. One of the best brewpubs I have ever been to is Frisco Taphouse.

Frisco has almost everything in a tap house. Their own good beer, good food and great beer selection. Routinely offering 50 taps of varying styles, you can always count on something you've never had, and something you know and love. the tough part is choosing which mood you are in. I've logged over 2000 beers and can depend on finding something new every time. I often show up and learn of a brewer new to me.

Service is very good, and the bartenders are especially friendly and knowledgable. Not sure what a gueze is? Ask; they likely know.

The only criticism that the place deserves is their beer pricing. Although they often offer rare or generally expensive beers, you only know for sure what your beer will cost once you get the check. This includes the electronic board menus and the on-line beer list, both of which are always up to the minute accurate. Regulars get the "feel" for what they are in for, but everyone else is in for a surprise. And the prices tend to run high. I don't think they even have a happy hour. Oh, you can ask about the price ahead of time - it's just not listed for ease.

I choose my restaurants by beer first, food second, so these idiosyncrasies are very bearable, and merely keep the place from being perfect.

While it might be a bit pricey, the food is really good and the beer selection is awesome. The bartenders don't push Push (their own beer) on you. They will give you a free taste of anything if you ask, and just ask how much a beer is going to cost if you want to know.
