This old pub, which from the exterior may not seen very encouraging, is very different once inside. At least 10 hand pumps serving cask beers with an ever changing menu of guest ales. A blackboard on the bar lists the current selection of beers. Various lagers - including Hoegaarten, Leffe Blonde, Stella Bock, and other imports also available. Long narrow bar, with room further towards the back, and sometimes downstairs cellar bar where live music is performed some weeks. Carvery food and snacks available mid-day, and different menu in the evening, and very good value. Easy going busy atmosphere mid-day, popular with locals because of the good value food. Worth a visit when in the area.
Has an annual Beer Festivals usually twice a year, February and November with extra 30+ beers in the back area, which is well attended and worth a visit.
The Metro tram station Bilston Central and bus stops only 2 minutes walk away.
