I'm still in search of a good honey beer. After being disappointed by Young's Waggledance, a friend told me that Oregon Honeybeer was where it's at. He's got good, sensible tastes, but I have to disagree with this one. The honey taste, as well as smell, is so light and nearly just plain lacking. Change the name to Oregon Pale Ale and that would do away with the expectations. I might've even given it a higher score!

Something about the end of the year makes ya go back and crush all those 90s beers that were the foundation of your beer chops. This was my first "honey" beer.
Pours golden color that looks like beer. 1/4" white head. I'm wondering where this worked its way into the pale ale category, always seemed more like a blonde ale. Aroma was just a mild grain component.
Taste was truly about as bland as beer was being made. Even less hops than the non craft beers, this was just made to be smooth and non offensive, and by that measure, it handled itself well. When you weren't into beer, this helped the transition to craft beer. Always thought the body had a bit of a newer wet cardboard feel to it. Didn't have that dry body that sometimes honey can help with, this was an afterproduct adjunct to make the beer taste less like beer/beer ingredients. One of the original beers worth having around to give to other people, didn't age fast, relatively affordable but you hoped you wouldn't be drinking it.

22oz : tulip
Clear, golden with a foamy white head.
Grainy, lightly sweet taste in both the aroma and taste.
Medium+ body, foamy carbonation.
Not much to be said against it, just a fairly forgettable beer overall. Simple grainy, sweet profile in the aroma and taste as stated above.

Bombers were on sale so I picked up a couple.
Chilled a glass.
Opened the bottle, and it smelled....ok.
Not much head to speak of and that disapeared rather quickly.
The moment of truth, I took a sip.... And the memories of a misspent youth popped into to my head... Miller high life, the champaign of beer... That is what I tasted.
This beer might be best after performing hard manual labor in the blistering hot sun.
Not one I will go out of my way to look for again.
