Pours to a pale yellow with a foamy white head that dissipated fairly quickly but left decent lacing. Nose is a light mixture of wheat, yeast, floral and a hint of bubblegum. Mouthfeel is muted and only slightly tingly. Taste is har dto pick up, as nothing from the nose really stands out. Finsih, while pleasant, is fairly non-descript, although the beer is a nice thirst quencher.

Pours a semi-clear yellow with a big white head that diminshes after some time. A nice looking beer.

There is a muted smell of clove and banana in the nose that just isn't assertive enough for my liking. I'm not sure if it's past its prime, but it's just not as aromatic as I would like it to be.

The taste is a little better than the aroma. This is what you would expect from the style--fruity and slightly spicy in the mouth with a touch of light malt. Nicely balanced and easy to drink.

This is a nice beer to consume. The mouthfeel has a touch of bite from the carbonation and it goes down very easily. The beer lingers in the aftertaste longer than I like.

This is a decent beer that would the right thjing to serve at a summer picnic.

I prefer a 'whiter' Krystal but this hits the marks for style anyway.
Crystal clear yellow brew with a massive white head atop the glass that melts slowly to slightly sticky lacing.
Aromas are lightly bready...lightly lemon...lightly banana.
Creamy and crisp mouthfeel.
Taste is only lightly sweet with nice peppery wheat spices and a touch of lemon.
Lingering powdery wheat taste.

Clear, mid yellow with an amber hue. Thick, half inch white head that stayed for the duration. Strong lacing throughout. Very light fruity smell with a hint of spice. The taste was fruity with a definite clove sense that grew stronger. Very smooth and creamy texture that imparted a peppery bite after the cloves. Attractive packaging in amber glass.

From a 500ml bottle into my crystal mug. Date is scored but makes no sense, and not just because it’s in German. Maybe it’s supposed to be a lot number…. Anyhow, it’s a clear golden color with numerous tiny bubbles. Huge white head caps it and fades slowly leaving a thick cap and heavy lace. In fact, a lot of foam remains in the bottle, and some even snuck out when uncapping. Nose of light malt and citrus with light breadiness. Rather lackluster bouquet. Tastes wheaty and bready with light citrus and moderate hops. Clean, slightly bitter finish, it’s a couple notches above average in the flavor department. Mouth is smooth and crisp with full but not overwhelming carbonation; it’s a bit watery but not thin. Drinkability is very good overall. It’s a light, mild and satisfying brew. Pleasant drinker, easily sessionable.

Overall: A good German “Kristall Weizen,” which I am guessing to be a filtered hefe. Tasty and enjoyable, a good summer drinker, worth a try but not really something I’d stock up on unless I could find it for a good case price.

M first stab at this style...seems like a dumbed down Hefe with less flavor..decent banana nose with some cloves...pours gold...pretty clear...nice foamy white lace that rims the glass...medium bodied with medium carbonation...not as jazzed up as some Hefe's..taste is banana mainly with a real clean, crisp finish....almost lagerish...(maybe it is, I'm not real versed on this style)...decent, but doesn't pack enough punch in the flavor department for my liking...I like it, but prefer a good Hefe....

Serving Type- bottle poured into a 0.5L weissen glass

appearance- A very pale straw color with a decent head

smell- very fruity of banana and pineapple.

taste/mouthfeel- light body, high carbonation, crisp taste. taste of the banana and pineapple with hits of hops and spice, though much less of the flavor. My girl friend loves pineapple, so she enjoyed this beer very much. I on the other hand found it to be average.

drinkability- easy to drink, although i wanted a bit more. still, worth it

(served in a weizen glass)
A- The crystal clear yellow body has a strong carbonation strands of microbubbels leading up to a thick white head of cream foam that last a bit.
S- The light clean white bread note has a faint sulfury green note in the finish.
T- The light fruity flavor malt has a note of clove to it and a dry clean flavor and a light tartness in the finish. There is a taste of mineral water that comes through as the beer opens up.
M- The light mouthfeel has a tight fizzy and a slightly water texture.
D- This beer is really nothing without all the yeast character that its cloudy cousin has. It is a bit bland without much character.

S- A very nice crisp citrus nose.

T- Crisp and fruity with slight sweet and bitter notes.

M- Very active almost too much where it starts to overwhelm the flavors

D- Light and easy these would go down very quick.

Pint bottle pours a clear, honey gold, with a billowy, two finger, white head that looks like frozen shaving cream. Nice, patchy lacing down the glass. Aroma is lemony citrus and wheat grain. Mouthfeel is highly carbonated and light to medium bodied. Taste is citrusy refreshing, with lemon in the starring role. Some noticeable yeastiness is present, and a moderate amount of spiciness comes through in the middle, and lasts to the finish. It all ends up dry and spicy, with a lemonrind aftertaste. Not the greatest in style, but I wouldn't turn one down.

Pours a golden color that is clear. Maybe a shade on the lighter side. Massive head that goes down slow an unevenly. Smell is a classic malt liquor that is not weak, but not extreme either. Taste is a little watered down malt liquor. About the same after taste of a classic malt liquor and as drinkable as a classic malt liquor. Verdict: If you have never tried malt liquor or rarely drink it, it would be a tossup between this and "The Bull" for a classic malt liquor taste.

1 Pt. Bottle.

Golden clean look with an airy white head. Musty malt smell. Light taste with hints of malt and yeast. It is refreshing, and would be great in warm weather. But does not overly impress me ...

My buddy in Coral Springs Florida sent me this one from his local Whole Foods selection. Each time I am in south FLA, I seem to always have a bottle of Tucher in my hand. This was my first Kristall of the wheat family.

A: Poured, as advertised, a clear straw golden with a muscular white head, moving down into a well placed cap. Decent lacing and high retention.

S: Mild wheat malt, cloves and esters well in the background, difficult to find.

T: Follows the nose, grainy for the most part, and citrus undertones, but all quite mellow as the style is known for.

M: Light and crisp with tangy finish from the retention and lemon citrus accents.

D: Farily good for a light wheat beer. Even on hot days, I prefer the full weiss with all of it's bananas and cloudy yeasty nature. A good wheat starter for those who think the elder brother is too pungent. Sometime NYC area will have this available(hint hint).

Appearance: Stunningly clear, pale gold color. Good head and exceptional lacing.

Smell: Hefe-weizen like aromas, as expected. Banana, cloves, bubble gum. Definitely toned down a bit from the filtering, however.

Taste: Not expecting a whole lot of flavor just judging from the appearance (very clear and light). There is flavor, however - like a hefeweizen, but more subdued. A hint of tartness as well, reminiscent of cider.

Mouthfeel: Fairly light, almost watery. Carbonation is fine. I wasn't the only one to comment on the too light mouthfeel when sampling.

Drinkability: On the whole, I think I prefer Erdinger's kristal weizen. Accessible, for sure. A touch disappointing, though maybe I'm just not a fan of the style.

Typical Euro pint glass styled bottle, served into a normal sized beer mug.

a-Extremely healthy head, more head than beer, great retention, very little lacing, almost clear yellow colour

s-yeasty, slightly metallic? crisp, sweet.

t & m-Crisp and smooth, slightly metallic aftertaste, bubblegum, slight banana, not as sweet as I was expecting, lemony, very little hop presence.

d-A quite decent kristalweisen, would not likely buy again due to Weinstephaner kristalweisen being just as accessible to me. Still a very drinkable beer and would drink if offered to me again.
