.5L, best before 5/4/11.
Pours a pale, straw-orange with tons of bubbles. Head is large-bubbled, but has decent volume and spotty lacing.
At first this beer has some nice banana notes and phenolic yeast, but it's very short-lived. Devolves into a boring, raw dough aroma.
The flavor is bland. Basically, this tastes like barley-wheat water. Bready, non-descript and boring. There are faint ghost notes of spice in the aftertaste, along with some plastic yeast. Slightly metallic, but not offensive, so I can't slam it. Little bit of tanginess, and a chalky, watery and over-carbonated mouthfeel.
Thin and cheaply grainy, this is not a very good wheat beer. But for .30/bottle (less than half the cost of most German beers) I wasn't expecting much. Got to love Netto for its "Falkenfelser" brand brewed by Tücher, albeit probably with the brewery's second runnings.
