500 ml bottle, bought by my wife on the DFDS ferry Oslo - Copenhagen. ABV is 6.3%. Unfiltered and unpasteurised. Brewed with Maris Otter malts, hop varieties unknown. Golden colour, large white head. Aroma of sweetish malts and grassy hops. The medium sweet flavour has strong notes of grassy hops, with a distinct and sharpish bitterness in the finish. Not much complexity here. Drinkable, but this is no match for first class American IPAs - nor for the best (real) English IPAs. Wouldn't buy again.

70cL bottle.
Misty tangerine hued sporting a graying beige flop.
Dried herb nose, primarily of rosemary and sage, deepened with calcified hard water, and grain bread.
Begins with a sweetness hewn out of caramel, bruised pears, and apple cores, as it flattens towards a burlier grain notion. The middle is full of well water minerality, as it segues into a pulsing quinine-rich, metallic orange zest, crunchy dead flora, and brown herb hop closure. The bitterness is electric, and full of alum-like pucker, even though the overall hop-derived flavor is merely moderate....or so.
Medium bodied with a lowered carbonation, perfectly befitting a brew that demands subsequent pulls, as each draught only increases one's thirst.
"English" only in framework, this is a raw, almost farmhouse styled brew (think 'De Ranke XX' meets Fuller's ESB...or more singularly, Burton Bridge's wonderously funky [to me, at least] IPA). In the end, it certainly resides well within the established IPA world.... though the path to here is more twisted and gnarled than most, thus its allure.
