"Amber ale brewed with spices & a rediculous amount of honey, a good replacement for our seasonal winter ale" Pilot Batch #71
32 ounce growler purchased at the mother ship a few days ago.
Pours darker amber, lite khaki head, moderate retention , leaves a thin collar , tiny bubble film and just a bit of low sheeting.
Honey and sweet malts on the nose.
Honey def. comes through, sweet malt as well. On the sweeter side but not cloying. Honey in the finish is a bit over the top for my tastes. Not one of my favorite of the CL offerings/pilot barrel options, but this with its sweetness, likely would be a real nice addition to a marinade or pot of chili.
Serving type: growler
