A: A medium amber with good clarity. The head is white and rocky pouring about a finger then slowly settling over a minute to a thin cap.
S: The aroma is dominate by a balance of hops, malt and Belgian yeast. A moderate hops aroma that is citrus with lots of tangerine and pineapple. The malt initially has some Pilsner malt character that blends with the hops to give it that German Pilsner character brings moderate caramel sweetness. There is a moderately-light Belgian yeast character of orange fruit esters and peppery phenols.
T: All the same characters in the aroma nicely balanced. There is a moderate hops bitterness with a medium strong tangerine, citrus flavor and some pineapple hops flavors. The Pilsner malt is character about balances the hops bitterness and the peppery yeast favor are more pronounced being about equal with the other flavors. The alcohol is noticeable adding a bit of sweetness. The balance is somewhat towards the bitter. The finish is off dry and some bitterness in the aftertaste but not lingering like an IPA.
M: Medium-light bodied with a moderately-strong carbonation. Moderately creamy.
O: Like bitting into a tangerine skin and all dusted with some spice. A good Belgian Triple hit all the notes for style, which in BJCP doesn't say you have to use Continental hops.

16 oz pint on tap at Little Town in Union Square.
Poured a very clear soft gold with almost no head. The lacing was disappointing as there was no retention on the glass.
Smell was not overly fragrant. Some citrus notes but mostly floral, grain, yeast, and clove.
The taste was surprising for a tripel. Lightly carbonated, some malt sweetness, that dash of clove but a generous heaping of hops up front (which was rather pleasant).
Quit enjoyable tripel. The 10% alcohol was barely evident. This is a well done hop forward beer that went down a little too easy.

Pours clear gold with a two finger white head, which has decent retention and leaves spotty lacing. The aroma has peaches, pears, citrus, pepper, coriander, and Belgian yeast. Not quite as nice of an aroma as the best Tripels have, but still pretty good.
Tastes more bitter and less sweet than most Tripels. There are peaches, pears, alcohol, pepper, coriander, Belgian yeast, and quite a bit of hop bitterness from the citrus flavored hops. The alcohol is not hidden as well as I would like it to be, but is not overly boozy.
Medium bodied with plenty of carbonation. Has a somewhat boozy aftertaste. Not made as well as I would have hoped for, but I'm glad I had a chance to try this.
