Many thanks to Todd for grabbing a couple bottles of this during his weekend venture to Southhampton. On Easter Sunday ya have to open something special, right? It comes out of the bottle a murky golden color, with about two fingers of white heading. Fruity nose of apples and dry champagne, but in a very subtle way. Taste is so well rounded between the apple, hops, grains and brandy. It is astonishing how well rounded all of the flavors are, and how they interact in perfect harmony. Mouthfeel is right in the middle, and quite honestly, is just right. There is no over carbonation or excessive use of hops, this is simply put together responsibly. Drinkability is second to none, as the alcohol cannot even be noticed, and the stuff is just so damned tasty. I do not say these sorts of things very often, but this is most definitely the best Tripel I have ever encountered. Some have said that these bottles need to sit for a while to let the alcohol die down, but to hell with that. This beer is more than drinkable now. Originally I was planning on trading my other bottle, but not now. I eagerly await what some time in the cellar aging will do to this gem of a brew. Cheers

Bottle: Poured a hazy golden color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of lightly sweet Belgian malt with light apple brandy notes. Taste is a very drinkable mix of Belgian malt with light residual candi sugar notes and some light Brandy notes also noticeable. Body is full with good carbonation. I quite enjoyed that one with loads of nice drinkability notes and the Brandy notes rounding off some of rough edges.
