A - Poured a pale pink with a small amount of foam
S - amazing! wine, berries, and a bit of oak, the smell was just incredible
T - nice red wine taste, it almost seemed like I was eating grapes, again a bit of oak and a funky bit of tartness
M/D - very smooth, incredible taste and aroma. I definitely recommend it to anyone if you can find a bottle.
sampled at the brewery, then a bottle on March 30, 2010
4 A - pours a reddish brown, very murky with just a ring of bubbles on the surface
4 S - fermented grapes hit your nose as soon as you open the bottle, oak, wood and vanilla, hints of vinegar
4.5 T - some acidity hits you right away, grapes and oak sneak in along with the tartness and pucker
4.5 M - finishes slightly dry, puckery throughout but not overly strong, fuller mouthfeel than I remember the first batch being
4 D - Great tasting now, I think it will only improve with age. 1 bottle at a time is enough, but it is definitely worth seeking out and experiencing

Bottle pour at the post-FWIBF bottle share held at the Adelaide Inn in Paso Robles, CA.
Thanks to mrbubbler for sharing this one.
Pours a murky orange-brown with a foamy beige head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is sour with malt, grain, fruit, and acidic aromas. Taste is much the same with sour malt, fruit, and wood flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is tasty but slightly one dimension in its sourness.
