375 ml corked & caged bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.5%. Hazy golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of brettanomyces / farmhouse and oak, lemons, mild spices, apple cider vinegar / white wine vinegar. Moderately sour and fairly dry flavour, lighter body than expected, notes of brettanomyces, oak and lemons, moderate hops.

On tap at Cloverleaf Tavern in Caldwell. Pours a golden, tropical hue with a level head. Intense aroma laden with notes of tart green apples and ripe apricots. Very similar flavor profile. Excellent stuff. Recommended.

Poured from a 500 ml bottle with out any dating, into the test glass
A - Excellent clarity allows for the carbonation show, to be fully appreciated, Billowing white cap of loose froth is the first act, then a series of clinging lace shows progress. Color is golden straw.
S - Apple skins, a bit of apricot, lime, sulfur, chalk, hints of oak, round out the nose.
T - Lemon verbena, green apple, nice barrel treatment adds the slightest vanilla, and young cider vinegar.
M - Medium in body, smooth on the palate, wonderful texture. Enough acidity to act as balancing agent. Linger is on the tart side and a delight.
O - A very well executed barrel sour. balanced with near perfection. Just sweet enough, the bitter and tart roll in unison.
A date on the bottle would be appreciated.

Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a two finger head that fritters away to a collar in about a minute; shards of lacing are left behind before the head disappears

Smell: Funk, green apple and lemon tones enveloped by oak and a hint of vanilla

Taste: Moderately acetic green apple and lemon forward with the funk developing; oaky, with a hint of vanilla in the middle and a dry finish that leaves some acetic qualities lingering in the aftertaste

Mouthfeel: Medium body with low to moderate carbonation; slightly pucker

Overall: A pleasant, well-balanced Brett beer with a nice acetic aspect

Decanted from a 12.6 oz (375 ml) corked bottle into a custom Sam Adams glass; no production information.
A: Pours clear initially, becoming cloudy, light golden color with quarter inch, white head, but little retention and only soapy lacing.
S: Aromas of green apples and unripened pear, with tartness and lactic acid both very much in evidence.
T: Tart. Palate basically follows the nose with apple cider vinegar tartness and vanilla. Very clean and refreshing.
M: Light bodied and robust carbonation initially.
O: This was a very drinkable, light bodied sour. Perfect for summer and practical for sharing with friends who are no sour aficionados.

2015 Vintage.
Vigorous pour yields a 1/4 inch off white head over an amber/brown/gold body with no lacing. Nose of oak, green apple, lemon, and ever so slight funk. Taste mirrors nose somewhat with a bit of mustiness which isn't too off putting. Good feel, although just a bit thin. Overall a pretty good sour from Elmsford, NY. Cheers!

Pale translucent gold, thin lacing. Very yeasty and musty, the tartness is there but definitely in the passenger seat, oak tannins underneat, finishes with a medium weight

Nearly 6 year old beer and tasted just as fine today as it did 6 years ago. Didn't look as good, fleeting head, but golden and clear body. Aroma of hay, straw, grass, earth, goat, pineapple, and lemon. Great. Taste of goat barn yard funk, tart green apple and lemon, dank wet leaves, earth, cracker malt. Mouthfeel is not thin, it's rather round with subdued carbonation. It feels prickly...but I know that's just the sour power. Seriously high class beer.

A: This poured a cloudy light gold with rocky white head.
S: It smelled like tart apple cider vinegar and unripe apricots, with some coriander and funky oak and horse blanket.
T: It tasted like dry apricot and coriander, with some tart apple cider vinegar and oak and a little horse blanket. It had a clean and mildly tart aftertaste.
M: It was thin with lots of carbonation. Nice bubbly body.
D: This was a nice delicate brew with well balanced and enjoyable scent and taste. The body was great for the style, and the finish was really smooth, so it was easy to drink. Could age a long time, but doesn't need it. Not top tier, but still a very high quality drink that's crisp and refreshing on a hot day.
