I just moved to the north county area from La Jolla, and it's been pretty tough finding good places to buy beer with the exception of Texas Liquor. I've had pretty favorable experiences with Beverages & More in the past, so I was happy to find one so close to my place. This one may not be the best of the Beverages & More lineup, but it's not bad at all. It's significantly smaller than some of the other stores, but I was able to find a pretty good lineup. For widely released beers, this may be the best place to go just because the prices here are usually much cheaper than other liquor stores. I'll definitely be stopping by here fairly often in the near future.

Stopped in with hopes of finding some things that were unique to the San Diego area. I did find some Lightning Brewing and two week old Ruination, but otherwise this BevMo was a little bit of a letdown in terms of selection. All the "generic" beers that you could find at a BevMo are here: Delirium, Ayinger, Unibroue, Rogue, Olde Suffolk. Nothing really wrong with the beers they were stocking, just not much that really jumped out in a way that said "wow, I've never seen this". On the bright side, the beer is located towards the back of the store away from sunlight, and the pricing is competitive. For a more unique selection, I'd go towards Texas Liquor in Carlsbad, but BevMo will do when you are in a pinch.

Stopped by here when I saw it next to Trader Joe's. Plenty of beer, as to be expected. The shelving amounts to two aisles worth and a row of coolers.
Plenty of non-US beers on offer, including Belgians and Unibroue, Germans, as well as big-name Italian and Czech. Also all the stand-bys from Mexico as well as a couple from south of the border that I've never seen.
They had a good selection of the usual craft brews: Sierra Nevada, Stone, Alesmith, North Coast, Bear Republic etc. As other reviewers have noted, nothing hard to find but lots of good stuff and the prices were good. Some singles were available; also, I did see some Victory Storm King, which I haven't seen anywhere else in San Diego yet (only been here a month, though). I didn't buy anything as I was just browsing, but I'm headed back there soon to grab a case of Racer 5.
Forgot to mention that they had a sign which advertised wine and beer tastings on Fri/Sat (can't remember which on which day...) but the sign was on top of a sampler flanked by BL Summer Wheat and BL Lime... not a good indicator.

I've been goinog to bevmo in Encintatas since 97 and was glad when hey opened on closer to me. The have a large selection of beers with some gems but most of the beers are not rare items. They always have what is just released from stone, Greenflash, Alesmith, with the common beers from Lost Abbey/ Port brewing Co. What I like about them is that they always have pretty good deals on beer and even have a clearance table. At the clearance table I have bought bottles of Boon Lambics for just 3 dollars a piece even though they have an expiration date of 2017. At this location most of the staff really dont know beer as much as they know wine and spirits.

Tdawg and I visited this Bevmo location while visiting her parents. How is it this Bevmo has a better east coast selection of micros than the one in San Jose..mmm..
We were greeted as we walked in and we found the service to be good but not overwhelming.
As other Bevmos-this one has a cold case full of various beers and aisles dedicated to different country/regional beers. We went straight for the local beers since in Santa Cruz we can only get Ballast Point.
They have an excellent selection of Stone-including Oaked AB, Port/Lost Abbey, AleSmith-oddly I didn't see any Green Flash.
I picked up bombers of Stone, Lost Abbey, and two AleSmths-Grand Cru, and Barley Wine.
Prices were reasonable-if you have a BevMo in your city-Join their BevMo club and you will receive coupons-yes...
Next time we come to town we will stop off here and stock up.

I think that this is the newest BevMo! to open in the San Diego area. Located up in North County off the 78. Take the Jefferson exit and a onto Vista Way. This BevMo! is located in the same small plaza with Trader Joe's, Kinko's, Jack in the Box, and Pacific Marine.
This store is much larger than the other BevMo! that I had visited. The beer is located in the back right two isles. Huge selection of brews that I haven't seen anywhere else in bottle form. Large European section categorized by geographical location. British, Belgian, German, Misc. European, huge American craft section, and finally the American domestic section.
They had quite a few clearance X-mas packages. and another 75% of the floor devoted to wine and hard alcohol.
They had a wine tasting going on in the back of the store but I was a while a way from home so did not partake.
Worth a stop if in the area.
