Laughing Dog Sneaky Pete is dark, earthy, sweet, and oily.
It poured a very dark cloudy and muddy copper, with a fleeting two-finger tan head that quickly dissipated, leading a moderate amount of thick lace. The smell and flavor hit first with an earthy, cut grass quality that gave way to a very sweet fruity finish. The sweetness ultimately dominated the flavor and was unusually strong for an IIPA. The feel was almost non-existent with just a slick oily feel left behind.
I like the dark earthy quality of Sneaky Pete, and although the sweet caramel/fruit flavor is nice, it's just not right for an IIPA; and the passive slick feel failed to make an impact.

Had on draft at Lures on 7/2/14 in a short wide mouth glass
A-Pours cloudy amber with a decent off white frothy head that lingers long and leaves excellent lacing.
S-Aroma is pine, grapefruit, sweet floral and citrus hoppiness.
T-Taste is heavy sweet, with grapefruit, honey, and pine with a light malt.
M-Average carbonation, medium body, slick texture and a long sticky finish with overtones of grapefruit and honey.
O-Overall a decent DIPA a great blend of hops and malt that hide the 10%.
