Poured a hazy amber hazelnut brown with lots of carbonation. The lacing is not as sticky as I woils have expected. A sheen of off white head lays across the top for the duration. Lots of grapefruit and earthy pine are predominate in the nose as rich caramel and biscuity malt aromas are overwhelmed. Immediate burst of grapefruit with a rich malty sweetness that ends with me smiling. Sneaky pete has his way with you as a 10% imperial. Slightly alcoholic with a richness that helps squash the big hop bill in the overall taste. The mouthfeel is pillowy with a great amount of carbonation to let it's complexity shine.

Had on draft at Lures on 7/2/14 in a short wide mouth glass
A-Pours cloudy amber with a decent off white frothy head that lingers long and leaves excellent lacing.
S-Aroma is pine, grapefruit, sweet floral and citrus hoppiness.
T-Taste is heavy sweet, with grapefruit, honey, and pine with a light malt.
M-Average carbonation, medium body, slick texture and a long sticky finish with overtones of grapefruit and honey.
O-Overall a decent DIPA a great blend of hops and malt that hide the 10%.

A: deep orange/amber - darker than I would expect from a DIPA; 1 finger head that receded quickly to a thin film; nice lacing;
S: floral and tropical fruit - pineapple and grapefruit;
T: not what I expected from the nose - earthy; not a lot of bitterness, but more than what I would expect from 10% ABV; the alcohol is there, but muted;
M: on the heavy side of medium bodied; moderate carbonation;
O: enjoyable, but a little too boozy for my taste;
Serving type: on-tap
