Our twist on the traditional robust American Porter, Shake Chocolate Porter is dark black in color with rich, sweet aromatics and flavors of dark chocolate, coffee and caramel. This unique brew blends five different grains, including Chocolate Wheat, that along with cacao nibs create a devilishly delicious chocolate finish with a velvety mouthfeel.

Deep, dark and chocolaty, this is a nice sweet, excellent dessert beer. Sweet and dark, smooth and easy to drink. Pushing the boundaries towards an imperial.

Pours a medium chocolate brown with a thick layer of foam, four fingers deep at first. Aroma is chocolate and roasted grain. Taste is smooth and on the lower end of medium, with chocolate being the dominant profile. Carbonation is a bit high and takes away a bit from this brew. The brew could have a stronger malt flavor but it works.

This Porter has a sweet chocolatey smell to it. When tasting you can definitely taste coco and malt. Has a very sweet chocolate after taste that is very pleasing. Overall a great beer and will definitely drink it whenever I get a chance too.

Nice foam and lacing. Sweet chocolate smell. Tastes of coco and malt. Bit of a bakers chocolate after taste. Mild in a very good way. Nicely done.

Poured pretty much like a porter should; very dark, nearly black with a tan head that left no lacing. Still, the head stuck around a while.
The aroma was chocolate. Seriously, no malts, no beer, chocolate. Not sweet at all but definitely chocolate.
The taste followed at first, all chocolate. When it warmed a little the coffee and roasted malts made their appearance. Definitely finished better than it started. I must say that I was amazed how much chocolate was in there.
The feel was good, just enough viscous texture to sell the chocolate but not get syrup like. I rather enjoyed it despite my preference for adjunct free beer.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Pours pitch black with a nice light brown head. Smells of chocolate with slight coffee. Tastes of chocolate with coffee notes. Beer is medium to full bodied with nice carbonation, and somewhat easy drinking. Overall, a very good beer.

It begins problematicly. Two twelve ounce cans are attempted to be poured into a clear glass liter mug. The cans are refrigerated and the pour was gentle, yet there were more inches of foam than liquid in the mug. Unlike some foamy brews, this one takes its time receding. The foam is a light tan and the porter is the expected color of one. There's malt to smell, with a sweet chocolate-like accompaniment. The taste is quite in the chocolate porter style. But, it's missing a couple of important things. There's almost no roasted aspect to the malting. That leaves the taste on the sweet side and without any complexity. Also, the feeling of the porter across the tongue is pretty light for a porter, especially considering the name of this one. The glass lacing is scant, perhaps good evidence of its lack of body. Maybe it would taste better with a straw.

super solid, super chocolatey porter that runs velvety but with enough of a slight bite to remain interesting and superbly balanced. it's not crazy sweet, but it's up there. if you like chocolate, like dark beer, like malty goodness, don't pass this one up. I sat on a sixer for about a week and enjoyed every moment of it, and if i can find it, it'll be my go-to porter from here on out if I want something easy yet highly invigorating.

Very dark brown. Smells like chocolate very heavily. Tastes like a frickin' Hershey bar, soo sweet and good
Very sweet but drinkable in spite of it

On-tap in Ontario OR; served in a tumbler. Dark, fairly opaque body with a small tannish head. Lots of chocolatey/vanilla/milk-chocolate on the nose as well as a biscuit character; the palate follows closely with lots of Hershey’s chocolate and a nice creamy mouthfeel.
