This is probably the best $ value IPA on the market. It has the the hops content and lingering mouth feel we all want, but is not overpowering on the palate or the wallet.
appearance --> love that lacing!
smell --> makes me want to drink it fast
taste --> makes me want to drink it slow, and enjoy it
mouthfeel --> like beer should be... absolute pleasure
overall --> When I can find it, this IPA is in my fridge. There seems to be a supply issue.

Poured a clear dull golden with a very sticky white head that stuck like glue to the pint glass as it settled very slowly.Hmm very piney, citrust aroams that really jump out at ya very fresh aromas,I detected a noticable nutty malt aromas underneath the hop profile.Seemed a bit thin for 7% alc a tad watery that carried over into the flavors no real malt base just a thin watery-like flavor turning into a piney hop finish. Now the hop profile is there but nothing leads up to it its like an abrupt hoppy finish if you get what Iam sayin.Started oput promising but the aroams didnt follow thru to the flavors.

Appearance: Pours a hazy copper with a moderately thick but sticky white head.

Aroma: Hoppy, with a good mix of raw and aromatic.

Taste: Pretty crisp overall, even after warming in the glass for a while.

Mouthfeel: Dry and sticky, as an IPA should be. The hop tingle lingers for some time.

Appearance – This IPA is thick and hazy. The orange color almost looks like a Belgian-style pale ale. The head also is very thick, although it went down rather quickly.

Smell – This is a classic East Coast-style IPA. The hops are sharp and fruity and the ale has a wonderful, biscuity malt backbone.

Taste – This is a big ‘un. Again, the East Coast gumball is right on queue. The hoppy fruits are tangy and the biscuity yeast-type of malt gives this ale some terrific structure.

Mouthfeel – This medium to full-bodied Double IPA is expertly blended. It has some big carbonation (big for the style) and a bit of dryness at the end.

Drinkability – This classic East Coast IPA just melts in your mouth out of the tap. It is brilliantly balanced and a true heavy hitter.

Comments – I had this on-tap at Anam Cara for the 2004 Belgian Beer Fest pre-party and boy oh boy was it a treat.

Cool, somewhat hazy golden color, with a bone-white head, attractive, big at first, though ultimately short-lived.

Aroma: oh, that's the stuff, like a deep breath in the heart of a primal forest, a crazy mess of spikey, sprucey, herbal hoppitude.

Feels like it's dry-hopped. Piney, citrusy (strong grapefruit). Continues on the tastebuds, bitter, yet a bit sweetish and slightly fruity. A tyrical hoppy IPA that is well done.

A bit light in body, a tad lacking in the malt department...it's all over, under and thoroughly about the hops (wish I could tell which ones).

This beer is a very attractive sunflower color with a tight two finger beige head. It's sticky and retains about 1/4" the whole way down, with good lacing.

Aroma is thick and resinous, citrus, grassy hops, maybe Columbus? Nope, the bottle says Amarillo, and I can see it now. Some candy-like malts in there as well.

Flavor is big and hoppy, herbal with citrus notes. Hop-heavy like an IPA should be. The bitterness on the finish is near perfect for the style. The lingering herbal pine taste makes a nice touch.

Sits pretty evenly on the tongue, dry and full-bodied but not syrupy.

This is a very nice offering, true to style and bold as the label claims. My first beer from Boulder, and I'm impressed.

What you have here is an average ipa. Just a plain jane beer that is only represented by a cool label claiming its "mojo".

Appearance is very light orange with about a half inch head that last for 20secs or so. Minimal lacing which to me seems watered down.
Smell is of mild hops and citrus notes. (very light).
Taste is a lot like water, hops, and very little bitterness at the end.
Mouthfeel is a simple lightly carbonated easy to drink session.

Just ok.

2 of 7 sent to me by the monk...my gratitude is extended once again...

Poured crystal clear with a light orange body. Pure white single finger head formed on top which reduced quickly to the thinnest of layers. A little more head formation and retention would bring this up.

An initial citrus rush of hops came forth upon cracking the top, inviting so far. Mainly grapefruit citrus hops in the nose with an equal share given to some pine aromas. Some straw herbalness as well. There is something else in the aroma which I can't describe well, possibly from the Amarillo hops which were used. A very nicely constructed unique aroma which I have yet to come across in any other brew.

A resinous hop hit as soon as the beer reaches the tongue followed by a smidgen of citrus, floral finish. A nice deep bitterness lingers for quite a while. There is some malty backbone to this but it definately plays a secondary role to the taste. Only complaint is that it might seem a bit one sided in the flavor department. Good, but some complexity either from additional malts or hop variety would help in my opinion and make this an awesome beer.

Mouthfeel is full and does a great job coating everything in site. Allows the dry bitterness of the hops to really come through in the end. Drinkability is great. An easy to down IPA that sits light but is strong in the flavor department.

A_Pours a light hazy orange with a thick sticky bone white head. Thick gobby lacing clings to the glass.

S_Grassy hops citrus.Picking up very little malt if any. Guessing its west coast style IPA.

T_Grassy, earthy, floral hops. Citrus and pine round it out.Not too overwhelming to the palate but a great ipa overall.

M_Coats the mouth nicely.Sticky on the lips.

D_Great drinkability.

Wow I was not expecting this power from such a weak looking beer.

The color was too light to be this tasty, but somehow it pulls through and creates just the perfect bitterness/crispness mingle in the mouth. That is awesome.

And then the surprising 7+ abv takes this to a higher level of IPA awesomeness. One IPA I wish I had tried a lot earlier to ease myself into the hops - this one does a great job!

I poured this bomber into an imperial pint glass. Golden color, thick white head, and a ton of lace.
A citrus and sweet malt aroma.
Grapefruit taste that really lingered. Noticeable malt background.
Very balanced.
A beer to have again. Enjoyable, and will have it again.

The Mojo IPA pours a straw color with tons of large particulates floating around (esp. the second half of the 22 - probably the most I've seen in a beer so far). It has a large, pillowy, white head that goes down to a bubbly film that laces the glass.

Its aroma is strong spicy, piney hops with some malt and citrus underneath.

Its taste is a whole lotta hops with a very strong, bitter finish (a little too much so). It's a little metallic initially, and the mouthfeel is on the thin side.

Overall, an OK IPA. I think was a little too one sided (all hops) and prefer better balanced IPAs (Stone, Avery, Victory).

Poured an extremely clear golden orange color which provided a gorgeous slightly off-white frothy head. Nice lacing left behind to boot. Very attractive brew. Smells of citrus hops and some grapefruit, floral. The taste is the clincher with this IPA. Sweet, citrusy hops and maltiness upfront, and a fairly aspirin-like hop character from, Im guessing, the Amarillo hops follow through, ending with a dry, very astringent, hoppy attack on the palate. I like how Boulder balanced this one out with a nice addition of malts. Mouthfeel is of medium body, silky, and light tingly on the tongue. I am a Hophead and generally try out any new IPA I can get my hands on and this is one of the better ones I have had the pleasure of enjoying. I am very impressed with this offering from Boulder. I wasn't expecting this beer to be as balanced and delicious as it has proven to be.

On tap in my big ass mug at Bukowski's Tavern - Boston, MA

Hoppily hazed amber with a most excellent head. Smells of rought to aromatic hops ... the hop flavor is the same, rough to oily floral. Deep pocket of pale malt character within the thickness of the hops. Nice brew for the hops heads ... after one mug I was done. A good beer none the less.

Bottle number four from the brewery's sampler box, all tasted on 11/12/04. Mojo pours a hazed peach body with a small offwhite head that retains well for a few minutes before dropping to film and collar lace. Frothy lace is moderate on the sides of the glass.
Aroma is laden with hops. Pine cone, grass, and grapefruit rind front the bouquet, with a caramel and toffee pale malt background.
Mouthfeel has moderate carbonation and a medium body, with a significant hops resin feel that is quite pleasant.
Taste features a dry, resinous hops bitterness that is very much citrusrind and pine cone. Toffee/caramel malt backbone balances well. Label claims Amarillo hops are used. Mojo packs some punch, but the ethanol is well hidden. Finishes dry and hops bitter, with a citrus rind aftertaste.
Mojo is vastly different from the three other brews in the sampler box. It seems they saved all their hops for this one. This is a decent Double IPA, that hopheads will enjoy. By far, the best one in the brewery's sampler box.

On tap, poured and light amber and clear. white head, leaving thin rings of lacing. Grainy, resiny hop nose. Hops here are citrusy and have a healthy biting nature. Agressive, American syle IPA. Enough malt to smooth out the ride. Nice long hoppy dry finish. Nicely put together, agresssive IPA.

On tap at Bukowski's in Boston

Pours a bright copper with a solid head. Good amount of lacing.

Smells of flowery hops, malt and somewhat of alcohol.

Taste of hops, malt and light alcohol.

Mouthfeel wasn't bad, not overpowering for such a hoppy beer.

Not terribly drinkable, but a very fine and recommended brew for hop heads and non hop heads alike.

This was my first beer on the BA O'Fest Crawl and it was a great way to start the day.
