12 oz. bottle with no freshness date; brewed with pale, wheat and crystal 20 malts, and hopped with amarillo and centennial. It pours a bright, golden-orange, with medium carbonation and an inch of off-white head that leaves lots of sticky lacing. The clarity is nearly brilliant, punctuated with dry-hopped particulates. Sticky and resiny aroma contributes grapefruit, orange and pine, and a backing of sweet crystal malt. Very clean on the palate, with a sturdy bitterness and loads of hop flavor. There is a kiss of alcohol and just enough malt to give the hops some ballast. Very crisp and dry body helps carry the bitter hop linger. This is not a complex beer at all, but the fermentation is so clean and the recipe so basic that every ingredient shines and helps to make this a wonderful IPA.
