A - Sipped straight from the bottle. A circular, hypnotic array of blues, oranges, and yellows make for an inviting and interesting look.

S - Citrusy hops, I can't wait to taste it.

T - Strong hops flavor preceded by a hint of sweet. This is a fantastic tasting beer.

M - The texture is common of a good IPA and can be felt on the middle back of my tongue. This is a nice feeling brew.

~ Let me put it to you this way. I'm going to get some more.

12oz bottle courtesy of my dad. But that means I don't know how old it is. Pours a pale gold with a nice head, but it recedes quickly. The aroma is like an aged hoppy beer, so perhaps this has sat for a little long. But the flavour isn't worse for wear. It's very well balanced, with a good malt base and mellowed hops. I'll re-rate once I have a fresh one.

a orange color typical of ipa. scant lace.
s pine and grapefruit. some breadyness, yet a fairly clean aroma.
t a bit too sweet, almost dipa-like. not particularly complex or interesting. tastes like it smells, + vice versa.
m slick and oily, somewhat syrupy. medium to full body. carbonation could be finer.
d not bad but not nearly the best imo. something's missing--the bitterness. where's the bitterness. it just never bites.

Pours a deep yellow/ light copper with a nice thick white head.

Smells great. Sweet piney citrus with nice malt backbone.

Sharp hoppy taste leaves a bitter aftertaste.

Nice full mouthfeel, but a little bit bitter for me, it doesn't have the sweet malty taste to back it up.

not much to say, actually, that hasn't been said. a good, but not exceptionally good ipa. piney and citrusy with a mild malty backbone and a hint of tea coming through. not caramelly/malty enough to strike a perfect balance, and not properly hopped to cause euphoric hophead bliss. the mouthfeel is very nice, and the taste is above average. fun and enjoyable to try, but i doubt i will revisit.

A: Pours a pale copper color with a generously frothed, two-finger head, active carbonation and phenomenal lacing.

S: Citrus hops, malts and grapefruit.

T: Piney citrus hops with an adequate balance of sweet malts. Notes of pine and tangerine. Finishes bitter and dry.

M: Medium-bodied and somewhat creamy. Well carbonated.

D: Good drinkability for something bordering on an Imperial IPA.

Drove to SC to get this since it's not sold in NC...I live near the state line so no big deal.

A - Clear orange color with excellent lacing.

S - Very hoppy and pleasant.

T - Hoppy bitter at first but after a few sips nto so much...very good balance .

D - I would have never knew this was a 7% brew unless I was told, very drinkable and good. Will have another.

Had on tap from Cambridge Common, served in a chilled pint glass. The beer is a dark orange, with a bubbly white head. Beer drinks with a creamy upfront and citrus aftertaste, good fresh hop taste with a solid malt body to carry the flavor. This beers drinkability is scary for 7% ABV, allowing 3 pints to go down quickly! A tasty choice if not looking for a hop bomb but something a little more then a Harpoon or SNPA

A - Pours one finger of head that has a decent retention and leaves globs of lacing as it settles down. It is golden in color with some yeast floating around.

S - Sweet caramel malt with hints of citrus and flowery hops.

M - A light-medium bodied beer with a semi-smooth feeling and adequate carbonation.

T - Much hoppier than it smells. The sweet malts are up front followed by some bready/toasted malts. There are a good amount of piny and citrusy hops that leave a dry, sour bitterness. The hops complement the malts well.

A pretty good IPA that is very drinkable.

See my review for Hop^3.

And, actually, yes, I am serious. I have the two of them right in front of me. The different that I can see is that the Hop^3 has a slightly darker color. Good stuff.

Edit: OK, well, there are other, slight, differences. The Mojo is a touch dry in comparison and not as fruity in aroma or taste. But, really, these beers, as tasted here, are really close to the same.

Edit of the edit: Aha! But the most telling is that I just mixed the two together and I can't tell the difference between that and either of the two! Dang!

Nice ipa. Pours light copper with a decent head--holds up well, leaves nice lacing. Aromas of pungent hops, orange peel, slight pine and in the back light malt. Flavor mirrors the aromas. Nice hop bite in the begining--some bitter citrus peel-orange and grapefuit--you know--when you get the "white" of the peel. Flavor is present but bitterness is strong. Nicely balanced by malt. Maybe a small amount of biscuit mixed in. Hops leave slight resin that lingers in the mouth but otherwise the transition of flavors make it nice. Very drinkable--but at 7% abv in a full pint wouldn't do more than 2.

A - Medium orange color, mostly clear with some visual carbonation. Head fades to a thick film. A few sheets of lacing.

S - Pungent fruity hoppiness with a mild brown sugar malt balance.

T - Taste starts out with a sharp hoppy bite, sweet and bitter. Hops lighten and then a faint malt balance. Finish leaves an oily bitter hoppy flavor. Overall a hop-bomb.

M - Medium consistency with elevated carbonation.

D - Excellent beer for a hop fix. Easy drinking, but not the most balanced IPA.

A - Very interesting color for an IPA, a light-gold color. A little foggy, too. The head is simply beautiful. Thick with very fine bubbles and great retention.

S - You can smell this beer from a yard away there is so much hop aroma. Mainly citrus and floral hop bouquet, and little presence of alcohol, surprisingly.

T - Wonderful and very true to the IPA style. Left a very dry and tart taste in my mouth. Long-lasting citrus, almost sour aftertaste. Traces of alcohol present. Barely recognizable malts.

M/D - Light bodied with medium carbonation. Leaves little bubbles in the back of the throat (very pleasant!). Easy to drink, in my opinion.

Mojo has become one of my favorite IPAs that I will continue to buy.

drank out of the bottle so never saw what it looked like,

S- Mostly citrus hops

T- I would say grapefruit tart bitterness is the most noticeable aspect of the beer and you will notice it.

M- fairly light with mild carbonation

D- Its good, I prefer a standard pale ale but it is worth a try.

A: Pours a hazy goldenish yellow color. A thick off-white foam head. Lots of lacing.

S: Very hoppy smelling, with citrus and floral hints.

T: A good balance of hops and malts. Pine and citrus hops with some bready/toast malts.

M: Dryer with a slightly bitter aftertaste but extremely balanced.

D: Well rounded and balance, a really decent A-IPA.

Pours slightly hazy golden to butterscotch color with thick white frothy head that leaves jagged rings of lace. Aroma of floral and citrus hops with a malty background and maybe a hint of spice. The initial flavor is an oily bitter that initially almost seems balanced by the malt and slowly washes away to a lingering bitterness taht stays around a long time near the back of the tongue. This bitterness gets more pronounced as the beer warms up, becoming almost tastelessly bitter. There is no other flavor, and it is not very interesting. Medium bodied witha smooth if slightly boozy finish. OVerall I would say worth a try, but not at all one of my favorites, and I probably wouldn't buy it again.

A - very deep gold, just a hint of orange. Head is pretty much white and decent sized. Lots of sticky lace down the side.

S - fresh grapefruit rind is the dominant aroma, not much else. Not a huge nose, but I'm not sure of the age either.

T - taste is a good mix of sweet and bitter grapefruit hops, but also a lot of floral hop too. Malt is there for effect only, just a whisp of sweetness before a big, longlasting finish of bitter hoppiness.

M - low carbonation, smooth, med body. Finish is dry and resinous, very good. Alcohol is there, but smooth, and helps with the drying effect.

D - Pretty darn tasty IPA, no complaints here.

Straight up IPA, simple and basic. Dry, crisp, low sweetness, lots of bitterness. Just the way I like them. It's not the best I've ever had, but it sure is solid. Nice blend of Amarillo and Centennial hops; you don't get any strong piney notes, but the complex floral and citrus character is quite enjoyable.

Pour is light golden color. Half inch white head.

The nose is of fresh cut grass. A hint of grapefruit. Slight yeastcake.

Entry is fairly thick considering the color. Nice mouthfeel. Flavors are slow to develop, grass, a hint of lemon. Orange blossom? Just a little malt. A bit disjointed.

The finish is nice (for hopheads) with a strong bittering - moves around a bit on that long finish - at times it is quite pleasing, but then can turn and give bit of a unpleasing bite.

Overall, I like the mouthfeel and long bittering in the finish, but flavor profile fails to deliver like a top-notch IPA.

This is a nice, grapefruity American IPA. Pours a dark gold/light copper color with a big slightly off white head. Head retention is good>lacing is very good.

Good strong citrus smell. Tastes great. Some hops bitterness, strong flavor of grapefruit and balanced by just the right amount of malts.

Mouthfeel is rich and smooth. Drinkability is very good. This is not just for crazed hop-heads. A very enjoyable and accessible IPA for everybody that enjoys somewhat hoppy beers.

Pours a clear golden color with one inch of white frothy head sitting on top. Great retention and some nice lacing.

Nice hoppy aroma is present. Tones of citrus and grass.

The taste is nice. Good citrusy hop, a nice little bitterness, and not much else.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a bright and clean carbonation.

Drinkability is moderately high with good flavor and low alcohol.

Poured a light copper hue with a three finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell featured a spicy and herbal hop and a slight caramel.

The mouthfeel was upfront hop spice - herbal and peppery. A touch of tartness toward the finish.

The mouthfeel was a bit muddled and the residual tartness detracted.

Overall a very hoppy ale with some off flavors. Many better choices available.

Pours a super clean and clear slightly darker than straw yellow from a 12oz bottle to my pint glass. Nice sticky lacing, decent head. The smell was faint to me, although I just got done drinking A super hopped up home brew so that could have thrown my nose way off. the taste is nice, creamy malt with nice floral and pine upfront and at the end. I like the mouth feel, very nice carb balance. It's lightly carbonated. I should have bought 6.

Mojo pours a deep orangey gold color with a large lid of fuzzy lemon cream.

This beer smells all hoppy and delicious. Lots of citrus fruitiness, oranges, grapefruits, and lemons, with pine needles and grass.

The flavor has a solid caramel maltiness to balance out the awesomeness of the hops. They dance in with pineapples and sweet citrusy orange, bitter rind included, followed by lemon grass and pine sap flavors that add to the pleasant bitterness with a touch of earthy spiciness to it. Medium-full in body with a perfect amount lightly oily, creamy-fuzzy carbonation.

Great IPA from Boulder Beer. Gotta love Amarillo. Drink one and get your mojo workin'.

A-Pours a golden orange with an off white head. Head dissipates quickly, leaving little lacing.

S-Strong aroma of citrusy hops. Nice.

T-Lots of citrusy hops throughout with a nice malt balance. Moderately bitter finish.

M-Light with a little bitterness clinging to the tongue.

D-Very drinkable.

A very nice IPA. Does not really stand out as one of my favorites but I would drink it anytime.
