Had on tap at the Judges Bench in Old Town Ellicott City, MD:

A - Deep golden color, thick head, slightly hazy

S - Powerful citrus scents, sweet malt

T - Well balanced. Fairly big beer with malty backbone that works well with the abundance of hops.

M - Medium bodied, well carbonated

D - Excellent beer, not really a session beer but one of the better IPA's around.

Served on tap at Mad Mex in standard pint glass. Pours a copper color, somewhat hazy. No head but likely from the bartender's pour. Reeks of hops: citrus and floral aromas. Hop character shines through on the taste. Gives a nice resiney aftertaste. Very slight malt background. A very solid IPA. If in the mood for hops this one's a go-to.

got this on tap at flying saucer in Nashville.

pours a golden wheat with a thick 2-finger foamy white head that hangs around. good lacing down pint. nice looking beer.

nice hoppy smells... sweet grapefruit, orange peel & pine. also note the sweet malts on the nose. very well balanced.

tastes much like it smells. I really like the balance... the hops mix almost perfectly with the sweet malts. pineapple, grapefruit, candied sugar & molasses

good feel. light/medium body with nice amount of carbonation.

really enjoyed this beer. haven't found a better balanced ipa in a while. boulder really hit the mark blending the hops and malts in this one.

Tried this at the Baltimore Beer Festival this past weekend. I've developed a taste for hops so this one hit the spot. Very smooth and drinkable, even with the hoppiness. Will definitely try this one again and I'll be looking for other choices from this brewery.

Pours a clear and golden color with a thin one-finger head. The brew has good head retention and gives off low piney hop aromas. Strong piney hop flavor with a smooth malt backbone. Light body with low carbonation. Finishes smooth with the earthy/piney hop bitterness.

This is a smooth, well balanced IPA. it presents itself with a clear amber/orange color. Inside my 22oz. glass, it has a very pleasant citrus aroma. Very good mouth feel. Good amount of bitterness without being overpowering. This IPA would be a solid introduction to those who are new to this style.

Just absolutely wonderful, aroma was perfect, 12oz glass if I'm not mistaken, but just from start to finish - was

A: A tad cloudy, still appropriate and just downright simple for this IPA, all should take note who fall by the wayside to this brew

S: WOW WEE - tap better than glass, no doubt!

T: Are you kidding me? citrus was running all over the place!

M: I mean c'mon, if you haven't had this, you are missing the boat. scratch and sniff and find out. Tangy, just enough and just very even from beginning to end. I enjoyed it so.

D: As one of the previous responders noted - "I could drink many more", but I only had 2

Served on tap at the Union Brewhouse in Weymouth, MA, off ot Rt.3!

Someone told me that if I Like big hop beers I need to try Hazed and infused by boulder beer. When I went to buy it the Mojo IPA was next to it so I bought a 6 pack of each. I have sampled 100's of different IPA and for me this one always stands out. Great full body hops yet very drinkable. After First having it by the bottle I now keep it on tap at home in my kegerator.

I've had this at home in a 12oz bottle and out on draft 2009-09-19. A nice hoppy surprise!

Appearance was a dark wheat with off white head that did die quickly after the beer arrived. I remember that the bottle version had more. Some nice lacing as I drank.

Smell had a light citrus hoppy aroma.

Taste of pine hop starts out strong and the slight bitterness is very welcome. Ends crisp and light with a hop sting.

This was a pleasure and if you know me IPAs are my type of beer.

Sampled several ounces from a pitcher following a tour of Boulder Beer Brewery. Great tour. Great tour; very generous free tasting afterwards.... VERY!

A - Typical golden/amber hue of an American IPA with nice, billowing, rocky off-white head that doesn't quit soon.

S - Stinging hop spice with citrus, light earthy, pine and lemon leap out of the head.

T - Hop forward! The hop tastes explode all over the palate without imparting too much bitterness. Thick, dank, floral, citrus (mostly lemony) hop flavors.

M - Rich but not heavy feel; generously carbonated; sticky but dry

D - Supremely drinkable, especially for 7% abv

This beer is sooo much better fresh at the brewery, or on tap, than out of the bottle. I purchased a case of bottles earlier in 2009, thought it was a nice, lightish IPA for summer, and wrote it off as a mediocre, summertime IPA before trying it fresh from the brewery. It was amazingly better and much more geared towards hop-heads than the bottles I had. I found this to be far-and-away the best brew at Boulder that was available when I stopped in, for me. I do love the hoppiest of the hoppy though. I can never drink a bottle of this again now that I know how good it is fresh on tap. Almost wished I skipped the other beers at the tasting because this just blew them all away, and I wanted to savor this one brew longer and take advantage of one of the few times I'll be in the area.

Appearance - a cloudy, light copper with a white head.

Smell - the citrus of the hops jumps right out while malt sweetness is lingering in the background.

Taste - A spicy/citrus taste experience. Hop-heads rejoice. This is a winner for those who love bitter!

Mouthfeel - crisp and clean.

Drinkability - Fantastic example of the APA style. I will begin to consume this on a regular basis.

Served in a standard shaker/pint glass. Glass of cold water on the side to sip from periodically.

Appearance: The beer is a clear orange/amber color with a few floaties and a ½" creamy off-white head that persists for a while and then recedes to a ring around the glass and a smooth thin cover of foam on the surface almost to the end of the beer. Sipping leaves lots of great streaks and speckles of lacing.

Smell: The aroma is complex and crisp with fruity floral hops (grapefruit, orange zest) and enough malt to bring in some caramel sweetness.

Taste: As expected from the aroma the flavor is of fruity floral hops with malt sweetness in the background to balance the hops. This means the flavor components are some caramel, some varieties of citrus (grapefruit and lemon zest mostly) and maybe even a bit of pine. The problem is the flavors are all blended together so well its hard to separate things out while they are bouncing back and forth in the mouth.

Mouthfeel: The mouth feel is medium bodied with a good smooth creaminess from the carbonation. The finish is long, begins sweet with the malt and then trails off into hoppy citric/piney bitterness that slowly fades leaving you wanting another sip.

Drinkability: This is an IPA I could drink over and over again. I can't believe I missed out on this one during my last trip to Boulder. That won't happen next time. I'll be happy to see more of this beer in my glass.

Beer is pale orange in color with a very slight head; decent lacing was left as beer was consumed. Smell was of citrus and hops with a very slight malt nose. Initial taste on the front of the tongue was well balanced between malty sweetness and hops, however as it passed over the back of the tongue it was harsher and the taste was not as pleasant. I think this had more to do with an unbalance between the bittering hops and the aroma/flavor hops used later in the beer making process.

The beer was not bad, but it went from something that smelled and initially tasted great to something that finished a little harsher than it should have been.

Poured a bright orange color with some head noticeable and fine lacing on the pint glass. The aroma is pleasant, a flowery citrus flavor in the hops, some mango hints. Gulp. Little sticky, medium bodied, tastes of hops and sweet cane sugar. Very drinkable and refreshing from intake to withdraw. Maybe too sweet for the bitter hops? Good interpretation of style nonetheless. If you like hops, its worth picky up.

Enjoyed on tap at Boulder Beer Tap House at the Denver Airport

Poured a clear gold with 1 finger of creamy off-white head, good retention and nice lacing stick. Smells of citrus, grass, grain, honey, and pine. Tastes of grapefruit, tangerine, honey, biscuit, cut grass, and lots of pine resin in the finish. Medium in body with good carbonation. Smooth with a strong bitter bite. Definitely not an IPA to go to unless you really like the taste of bitter, but quite enjoyable if you do happen to like hops.

Poured a hazy golden color with a thick creamy head that left nice rings of lace down the pint glass. Smelled liked I expected with a big nose of grapefruit and pine. I smell something else but I can't place it. Taste is very nice with big hop profile but not a ton of malt. Mouthfeel for me is a little thin and lacking in carbonation. Good IPA that I will enjoy from time to time.

Hazy copper colored body with a small white head.

Smells nice and hoppy, floral and citrus notes.

This is a big, hopppy IPA. Which I like. Up front is all citrus flavors, almost making you want to pucker up a little bit. A little bit of piney-ness is in there too. Bitter. A faint caramel maltiness lingers in the background.

Mouthfeel is light bodied, well carbonated, and a little oily.

Pretty dirnkable, 7% ABV is fairly big for an IPA.

A. Poured from the tap into a glass mug. Nice orangish body with a good off white head and some decent stick.

S. Pleasant but nothing stands out besides some citric and floral hops and a bit of malt.

T. Wonderful fruityness from the yeast/hop combination that leaves me thinking of fresh mangoes. Some citrus overtones are noted as well. The malt is balanced well as is the yeast and its not overly sweet.

M. Medium bodied and smooth. Pleasurable. Slightly dry finish.

D. This is a very tasty and original IPA. A bit strong as far as alcohal goes, but you would never know it, as there is virtually no alcohal presence in this one. A good gateway IPA for those who aren't ready for the super bitter.

Had on tap from Cambridge Common, served in a chilled pint glass. The beer is a dark orange, with a bubbly white head. Beer drinks with a creamy upfront and citrus aftertaste, good fresh hop taste with a solid malt body to carry the flavor. This beers drinkability is scary for 7% ABV, allowing 3 pints to go down quickly! A tasty choice if not looking for a hop bomb but something a little more then a Harpoon or SNPA

Nice ipa. Pours light copper with a decent head--holds up well, leaves nice lacing. Aromas of pungent hops, orange peel, slight pine and in the back light malt. Flavor mirrors the aromas. Nice hop bite in the begining--some bitter citrus peel-orange and grapefuit--you know--when you get the "white" of the peel. Flavor is present but bitterness is strong. Nicely balanced by malt. Maybe a small amount of biscuit mixed in. Hops leave slight resin that lingers in the mouth but otherwise the transition of flavors make it nice. Very drinkable--but at 7% abv in a full pint wouldn't do more than 2.

on tap at o'neills in rochester, mn

a: pours a nice golden color with about a quarter inch of head that dissapers fast leaving a little lacing on the top of the beer as well as around the edge of the glass
s: sweet malts in the very initial, followed heavily by citrusy piny and mabey earthy hop bitterness
t: hops hops hops, citrusy piny are the two most previlant hints of earthy hops as well
m: medium bodied beer with little carbonatoin

overall, i really enjoyed this brew and i think i will order it again some time, unfortunatly not a sessionable brew

Had on tap at Moan and Dove. The drink had a murky orange appearance with some decent lacing. Faint citrus and orange flavor aromas gently permeated from the drink; nothing too special. Moderately strong bitterness was a little off-putting in its taste department. Good carbonation. Overall, it was pretty decent but a little too strong in taste.

I grabbed this at Jupiter's while waiting for a pizza and wings takeout, and it was coupled with a great bar experience. As I entered, Illinois was down 28-26 to Purdue in the Big Ten quarterfinals. Just before the half, the barmaid told me that the wings would still be a stretch, so I ordered a Mojo IPA; great choice. As I was waiting for the Mojo IPA, Illinois, ranked 10th in the Big Ten Tourney, tied the game against the second-ranked Boilermakers, 28 up at the half.

The beer was excellent, pitching a thick finger of off-white head atop a lemon-orange body. Dense with hops, Mojo's IPA also comes stocked with fruity aroma, full of orange and pineapple. Terrific taste as well, with the fruit and chewy hop texture in pleasant harmony. At this point, I ended up chewing the fat with a guy names Steve about Illini hoops, baseball (both my Yankees and his Cubs), and college basketball generally. Really good guy, really energetic conversation with lots of good vibes for the second half. I had to split once the wings came out, and took an extra minute to finish the terrific Mojo. But the mojo continued well with the conversation. I met Steve's girlfriend Suzie, who also attends the university, and left them with a round for the terrific chatter.

Mojo IPA was excellent, easy to drink, fruity, and hopped. This was one with a mojo all its own, a very good beer with very good vibes. Certainly one of the better IPAs I've ever had, and one of the better beer and bar experiences I've had in quite some time.

Found it on tap at the Spinnerstown.

The Mojo has a copper-orange color with a nice head on it. Some thin lacing left as it goes down.

Had a floral hop smell to it, very slight pine also.

It was very good, not a real hoppy IPA but a very balanced one. Could easily detect the malt. Has a little above average carbonation and an overall lighter body to it.

Great IPA to have when your having more than one, and its easily done with this fine IPA.
