A: Pours a hazy, milky gold with a fluffy, feathery white head. Head retention is quite good and there is a moderate amount of lace.
S: Aromas of green apple, unripened banana, minerals, lemon, herbs, grass, and wheat toast are present on the nose. In terms of smell, this ale is reminiscent of both a Bavarian weissbier and an American pale wheat ale.
T: Fruity notes of unripened bananas, unripened pears, and green apple are immediately evident, underscored by traces of wheat toast, minerals, lemon, lime, grass, and herbs. The finish is bready and crisp with notes of grassy, mildly citrusy hops and wheat.
M: Predictably light in body, very dry, and a bit chalky in the mouth. Carbonation is relatively crisp and intense. Very quaffable.
O: I'm not a huge fan of Boulder Beer, but this wheat ale is far from bad. Some may not like the slightly muddled character, but I kind of appreciate it. I would not go out of my way to find this again, but I wouldn't have a problem knocking back one of these if it were readily available.

Vibrant bright yellow pour, half inch of head, white, average retention. A little bit of lemon and wheat aroma, super minimized.
Wheat comes out more in the taste, but is still run of the middle pedestrian. Hopping is a tad above standard. Even some grainy banana. Can even pick up a neat twinge of tart lemon wheatness and metallic droppings.

Marketed as a HEFEWEIZEN, not an APWA.
Pours a pineapple/mango juice color with nearly 100% opacity. Hazy and translucent. The head starts off @ 2 fingers and then recedes to a creamy ring leaving hilly lace.
Smells like baby food puree, with slight baked malts and a cigarette-like aroma.
Quite a malty taste out front, with wheat and coriander, and then the dirty flavors surface - cigarette, burnt banana peel, mushy fruits. It seemingly suddenly evaporates. The finish/aftertaste is bland and flavorless.
Feel is super carbonated, but slightly creamy. It's not exactly sophisticated but does the trick.
Overall, this was another horrible Americanized Hefeweizen. Not as bad as some, but I hate these poor excuses for what should be an amazing style.
