Clear Pale lager. On appearance it doesn't look like a wheat beer, well, at least not a traditional one.

Nose is creme de bananna with not much else, perhaps a little sour smell.

On the palate is some bananna sweetness and estery notes to confirm it is indeed a wheat beer, but not much else going on.

Is this made by AB? This can't be a Boulder Beer?!?! NO!!!

Sweaty Betty Blonde is a slightly hazy pale straw colored beer with a thin white head that disappears. It doesn't leave any lacing. There isn't much aroma; a hint of lemon and maybe banana and apple. It's pretty light bodied but soft and fluffy with a clean, bubbly finish. It tastes simple and light but well balanced and clean. Pear oil is present, but not strong. Even the bitterness seems fruity. It's tangy and refreshing.

Part of a large trade with jhammerly from Nebraska...thanks Jimi.
Pours a cloudy straw-yellow with a small white head that disappeared all too quickly.
Aroma of spicy wheat and only a tiny touch of lemon.
Taste is immediately an explosion of lemon....sweet malt at first, then swallowing to lemon juice. As the beer warms some, the lemon juice flavors change slightly to lemonade (get slightly sweeter).
Aftertaste is spicy wheat and lemon juice.
Mouthfeel could use more carbonation but it doesn't taste totally thin or flat.
Good summer cooler.

A - Light golden yellow color with thin white head. Quickly fades and leaves no lacing and very little coverage.

S - Somewhat skunky smelling lemon and wheat mixture.

T - Beer redeems itself a little with the taste. Lemons and somewhat grainy wheat taste. The citrusy lemon taste is the primary taste though.

M/D - Light to medium bodied and a little on the chewy side. Very average wheat ale.

Appearance - Pours a slightly cloudy very pale whitish/blond, with a small head that dissipates fairly quickly. Lacing is present, but minimal.

Smell - Wheat tang and strong yeastiness dominate. A very soft floral aroma comes through underneath.

Taste - Very wheaty, with a slight cereal edge at swallow. Some very mellow citrus hops help to balance things out.

Mouthfeel - Light and effervescent - nice

Drinkability - Grabbed a sixer of this because it's hot outside, and this does quench on a hot day, but like many american wheat beers, flavor is not overly complex, or exciting. At least for me...

Pretty standard beer for the style. Appears a hazy pale gold with almost no foam, the fruity aroma is very inticing, however, for some reason, the taste never seemed to come through.

It was a typical, wheaty, bready taste with a faint sweet aftertaste of fruits and honey. Got better as it warmed, but still seemed a little thin. Drank this after a light jog in 90-degree weather and this was refreshing.

Although I found the taste a little lacking, this is one of the better summer beers and given Boulder's track record, I'd be interested in trying this again.

Enjoy by 5/28/14.

Pours a hazy light yellow with a foamy bone head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. No lacing on the drink down. Smell is of malt, wheat, caramel, banana, and spice aromas. Taste is much the same with banana and spice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer with a nice smell, but the flavors aren't as good in my opinion.

pours hazy straw yellow with 1+ finger white head that faded fast and left no lacing

smells very faint - i pick up a little banana

taste is much better then the nose - light wheaty grains and banana

mouthfeel is light crisp and very refreshing

overall - this might not be the best or even in the top 10 in pale wheats but i could knock back many of these on a hot summer day - this is on par with goose 312 without the lemon

12oz bottle acquired in trade with robertsreality (thanks!).

Poured a medium and cloudy golden color with a very small sized white head. Aromas of bananas, cloves, grain and light citrus. When first poured I got a strong wet hay aromas that quickly went away. Tastes of bananas, wheat and light cloves. Starts of lightly honey sweet and ends in a light tart finish.

Wow...one sip of this beer and I felt like I was back in Kansas again! While I usually miss the maltiness in wheat beer, this specimen was a nice contrast.

The beer poured cloudy as most wheat beers do, with a light head and layered lace. The smell was earthy and grassy and quickly took me back to a memory of freshly cut wheat in Kansas.

The taste was acidic at first then went with an alcohol flavor which didn't impress me. My favorite part of this beer is the mouthfeel which is heavier than I expected. It has a wonderful wheaty aftertaste which lingers nicely.
