From the 12 oz bottle stamped Jul1707 on the neck. Into a pint glass. Hazy, wheaty yellowish color with visible sediment from pour-swirl-pour. Thin white cap fades quickly leaving a thin ring and specks of lace. Nose of wheat, yeast, and spicy cloves. Tastes of spicy cloves, yeast, mild wheat. Light, spicy finish. Mouth is light and wet, with heavy carbonation yet still palatable. Drinkability is good; it’s tasty and smooth, inoffensive yet with a bit of spice. Alcohol is well masked.

Overall: Decent but nothing to actively pursue. Worth a try if one comes your way.

A 12 oz bottle picked up at Total Wine in Columbia, SC

A - a hazy blonde, with a decent amount of clarity. 1 finger of head and a touch of sticky lace left on the glass

S - Banana, sweet malts, wheat. Very nice aroma

T - Pears, bananas, wheat, with a slight hop kick at the end. Tasty!

M - Medium bodied, well balanced. High carbonation.

O - A very tasty blonde wheat ale. Excellent for a hot summer july evening.

A - Straw, slight haze. Didn't stir the yeast cake up at the bottom. Maybe I should've. Fluffy off-white head, fades quickly. Very nice lacing throughout.

S - Coriander, pepper, citrus, lemon. spice.

T - Light biscuit, spice, orange.

M - Medium body. Not as light as other wheat beers. Medium carb.

O - I don't have a lot of experience with wheat beers, but this one seems to be a slightly above average.

Pours a very pale yellow w/ a half finger of bright white head...disappears quite rapidly w/ a thin layer remaining.
Lacing is very thin, but has a bit of hold to the side of the shaker glass.
Aroma is a hint of spiced hops and sweet malt...decent.
Not a huge fan of wheat beers, but the flavor is enjoyable and has a decent dose of hops. Not as spiced as the nose was portraying, but enough to give this one a slight edge.
Mouthfeel and carbonation average for the style.
I could enjoy a few of these on a hot day such as this...another fine offering from Boulder...a nice addition to the lineup.

Poured from a bottle dated enjoy by 11/26/13 into a pint glass.
Appearance - gold, almost yellow, very bubbly, fluffy white head with nice retention. Not much lacing.
Smell - sweet, lemon zest.
Taste - refreshing brew, very crisp and clean on the palate.
Feel - light, easy to keep sipping.
Overall - Hot Summer day, less than a buck 25 per beer...this is worth sharing with your lady and scoring brownie points!

Pours pale lightly hazed lemon, with a head that goes from 1 finger to zero in under 30 seconds.
Aromas of spice (coriander & ginger) citrus and grassy hallertaus.
Initial flavor of spices and citrus give way to rough grain. As it breaths lemon and orange emerge as the citrus. Spices well behaved as the understated hops dry the finish - leaving no bitterness. Light body and thin mouthfeel.
An unusual wheat beer.

OK, so it doesn’t have the label Hefeweizen in the name anywhere. When I tried this beer, that is definitely what I thought it was. It poured a pale golden (yellow), and was certainly unfiltered. There was no head to speak of, and very little lace that didn’t stay around anyway. Very slight aroma of vanilla and banana. The taste has the banana, and a little more citrus. No clove flavor that you might expect from a high-quality Hefe. I give this beer credit though, it had none of the chemical after-taste that many American Hefeweizens are full of (Why is that?). A very light mouth feel. Nice drinkability, this is an excellent hot weather beer (on a 90 degree Boston day).

poured a very hazy straw color with close to a two finger white head that faded to just covering the beer with a sticky lace that followed the beer down the glass. aromas of wheat and lemon grass and spice. taste, wheat malt, lemon grass, cloves and other spices with a peppery ending lingers for a bit. mouthfeel is very light and crisp and spicy. will definitely be looking for more of sweaty betty.

This beer poured a cloudy straw color – thick head. The aroma is quite fruity and a little sour. The taste is fruity and floral with some sourness in the aftertaste. The mouthfeel is on the light side. This is a flavorful beer that is interesting and refreshing.

Sampling right now on 5/11/14. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured into a 10 ounce glass 'boot'.

Pours a light hazy straw yellow in color with a 1/2-finger of a fizzy white head that settles down to along the sides of the glass. Lots of streaming bubbles rising up from the bottom and sides of the boot. Very little lacing is seen. The aroma is of malts and wheat with a hint of light spice. The taste is pretty much the same with a light hint of citrus as well. Very easy to drink with no bitter or harsh aftertaste. A great summer seasonal brew for a hot day. Overall, I like this one.
