Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a beer taster.
Appearance: Nice solid gold color with some slightly-stronger-than-faint ruby-esque hues. Head is nice and fluffy, and leaves thick lacing as it recedes; good retention where applicable. Lots of tiny bubbles visible within the glass.
Smell: There's a really nice toffee-malt type base over top of which bitter and floral hops dance belligerently. Just a touch of sour citrus flavor. In two words: sweet earthiness.
Taste/Mouthfeel: Malt lays a thick foundation on the tongue, and the carbonation plays right into its hand. Beer lava flow comes to mind. The sweetness is evenly matched by a burning hop bitterness which detracts from the obviousness of the alcohol. As the carbonation mellows out, the beer gets just a touch thinner and rinses clean. Aftertaste is faint hops and liquor-like alcohol fumes. Although, for 10+%, this guy really goes down smoothly.
Overall: I am a definite hophead, and this brew was made for men like me. Chewable, yet bitey; bitter, yet brilliant; sweet, yet sassy. Pretty durn good beer here.

A - 3.75 - NIce golden clear color with a big white head that sticks around forever, leaves a nice lumpy lacing too.
S - 3.5 - Smells like dirty, earthy hops, with bready, raisin-y malt in the background. It says enjoy by July 18th, 2014 so I'm assuming this is how it's supposed to smell.
T - 3.5 - Dirty, earthy hops, with overly sweet malt in the background, and alcohol - a lot of it. This is probably close to the worst IIPA I've had. I'm trying to figure out where the rank taste is coming from because I love amarillo and centennial hops. Maybe they used a bunch of sugar to increase the ABV? Maybe the wheat malt (I've never used it in an IPA)?
M - 3.5 - Alc is so present it ruins the beer. Medium mouthfeel. Aftertaste is bitter, just bitter. No definition.
O - 3.5 - With a ton of Amarillo hops this beer should taste like straight up orange juice. Instead, it's just sickeningly sweet and dry undefined bitterness.
