Pours a yellow-orange, alittle more yellow than what I expect from a DIPA. Big fluffy white head, good retention. Minimal lacing, however the lacing which is there leaves something to be desired.

Aroma is of hops (of course). Grassy floral hops dominate over any citrus aroma of the hops. Slight touch of toffee.

Taste up front is a nice hoppy punch. Does not seem overly hopped. Citrus and earthy hop flavors mix well. Maltiness does balance enough. Not the bite I was looking for with a DIPA.

Crisp and smooth mouthfeel. Lively carbonation.

Very drinkable, especially for the ABV. Just not my favorite offering for this style.

22 oz. Bomber

Pours a pretty nice golden yellow color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice one-finger off-white head, which leaves some sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, kinda malty, with some citrus/pines. The taste is hoppy, malty, citrusy, with some pine notes. Full Body, ABV hidden pretty well, nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, a nice little brew.

Boulder Beer - Mojo Risin' Double IPA. 10% ABV. 3oz sample pour in mini mug.

Look: Clear, vibrant golden bodied.

Smell: Floral hops, slight bitterness, light tropical fruits, some maltiness.

Feel: Mild carbonation, light bodied.

Taste: Slightly bitter from hops, light tropical, citrus, and malts.

Overall: Had at the Firkin Fest 2016 in Ashland, KY. Another beer and brewery I have not heard of, so I gave it a shot. Seems like a good example of a Double IPA, mild bitterness, along with fruit, earth, and malts. Nothing overly special, but not to be overlooked either.
