Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. It pours a hazy/translucent straw/copper color with a ~1 inch off-white head that reduces to a full lacing. No sediment and carbonation is readily visible.

The aroma is a nice combination of citrus/pine hops and earthy notes with some pleasant floral and sweetness that follows.

The taste also has some of the citrus/pine notes mixed with a floral and earthy component. Mild malty sweetness in the background.

The mouthfeel is light/medium bodied with a an adequate amount of carbonation. It is fairly smooth and not overly crisp. Minimal dryness at the finish.

Overall, this is a very drinkable beer. The floral components make it interesting when mixed with the citrus hops. Overall, it is worth having although I would not search it out.

Purchased at bottle barn in santa rosa.

A - Poured a copper-gold wth only 1 finger of off-white head. It dissipated moderately fast leaving a slight amount of lacing.

S - Strong notes of grapefruit, citrus, and maltiness of caramel.

T - Grapefruit, citrus, flowers, and caramel.

M - Full-bodied and hop dominated. Pretty good!

D - This is an outstanding IPA, but not an English IPA. Throwing in British caramel malts mixed with west coast hops does not count as an English IPA. I had to mark down on smell and taste due to this. Otherwise, outstanding.

Pours a cloudy orange/gold with a big white foamy head on top. Retention is a little weak, but the lacing that sticks is all over the place. Smells of malts, breads, and sweet floral hops.

Light mouth on this one, but oh so creamy. This is a very smooth beer. Big biscuit malty sweetness in this beer. Finishes with just enough of a hop smack on the end, but nothing overpowering or harsh. This is one of the sweeter EIPAs I've had, but I like it alot. Recommend.

Pours a nice white/light copper color into my glass with a two-finger head.

Aroma is full of a lot of biscuit malt and only a mild hop bitterness in the nose. Sounds right.

Biscuit malt makes its' presence known in this ale followed by a mild hop bitterness that doesn't overwhelm the taste buds. It's kind of sweet but it feels to the style.

Mouthfeel is full of sweet, lingering biscuit malt and hops. Beer goes down well without incident.

I really like this ale. It has a really good balance between malt and hops that is typical of an English IPA. It's fresher than some other examples I've had that came across the big pond. Pick it up.

A - A peachy copper color... Full rich creamy white head with excellent retention... The head ultimately fades midway through the session, but leaves a rich full lacing... Extremely minimal amount of utterly sluggish carbonation... Thick rings of lace on the glass the entire way down...

S - Tangerine... Apricot... Grapefruit... Tart peach... Orange zest... Piney hops... A mild maltiness permeates... Slightly grainy...

T - Well balanced... A very delectable malt base is apparent right off of the bat... The hops presence is only really noticeable during the aftertaste... Its subtle, but its a nice mix of citrus and piney hop notes... Not overly complex, but still completely enjoyable...

M - Charming... Lush and very creamy... Medium bodied... Rich and exceedingly smooth... A tiny bit of prickly carbonation can be detected on the tongue... Consistent...

D - Insanely drinkable... Insanely sessionable... Quite enjoyable offering from Boulder...

12 oz. bottle with no freshness date found

This one poured a cloudy, goldish yellow color with minimal head or lacing.

When I opened the body, I mainly detected sweet, caramel like malt aromas

This one has a great deal of subtle flavors - there is an initial taste of malts followed by a faint banana flavor which seems out of place for a "British style ale." There is a tangy fruit flavor that dissipates rather quickly leaving a sweetness on the tongue. BA lists this ale as an "English India Pale Ale." This one has a decent flavor, but it is far from a british style ale or india pale ale for that matter.

Not very carbonated and somewhat thin bodied. There is no evident hop bitterness and the flavor is strangly sweet with subtle banana flavors - wrong fruit for a british ale.

Perhaps this was not a fresh bottle which made the flavors taste "off", but I was disappointed. For 6.5 % ABV it is very mild.

Gotta say...some of the Boulder Beers are winners and others are in that other category....they just plain stink. This one is on the winner side.

A - Red Golden Brown Ale with white bubbles escaping to the top. Some minor lacing but really doesn't do anything for me. Not cloudy at all. Crystal clear.

S - At first I didn't know if I liked the smell but after giving it several chances, the smell grew on me. I love hops and they are there but there is a sweet side that I just don't really care for. The hops are not that present either. It smells like a little pine tree got planted in a wildflower garden. Just kind of strange. Ok but different.

T - I do like the hops but again, it is very mild hops. It also has a sweet taste that I could really do without. I like hops so if I am going to drink a hop beer, let there be hops. Please don't sweeten it down with sugar flavoring. Kind of funky the warmer it sits. This beer needs to be consummed AS COLD AS IT CAN GET. Let is sit and it will turn into a drain pour. I better hurry this review because as my beer gets warmer, I want to lower the scores...and quite a bit too.

M - Syrup meets Bitter. Strange. This again was not what I was expecting. Didn't care for it too much either.

D - Drinkability is higher the colder this beer is drank at. It quickly becomes not so nice the warmer it becomes. Not for sitting out on a lazy afternoon after cutting the grass drinking a beer beer. Would get too warm and you would throw it away.

Again, DRINK COLD!!!! Warm....yeah, not so good. Can you say skunk?

Pours a hazy copper with a decent head.

Smelled Piney off the top with some citrus

Tastes nice and bitter, Not quite as bitter as a Sierra Nevada, but it is very good. floral hops for aroma with lots of piney hop flavor also some toasty flavored malt

Mouthfeel is very good - not watery, but there are some carbs in this beer that added to the cloudiness of the beer.

Drinkability is great, a true deal at the price point compared to some of the more "popular' beers which are charging a clear $2 more than this sixer.

This is one of the better beers new to me I've tried in a while. Amber deep orange with a decent head. The aroma on this was what stands out to me - roasted up front with citrus lemon hitting the back. Taste pretty much the same although hops finish more earthy than citrus. Mouthfeel drinkability - maybe a tad thin - I could see having more than one - but may fill the palate quickly.

I noticed, after reading the reviews, that often the only thing mentioned when reviewing appearance is the head, and perhaps color. Only a few of the reviews for this beer mentioned haziness. When I poured mine, there were a lot of good-sized floaters in an amber body, with a half finger head that subsided to a thin film that left a tiny amount of lacing.

Aroma was of lightly floral hops, and somewhat biscuity, with hints of sweetness and a touch of citrus. Not grapefruit, more generic and not as pronounced.

Taste was pretty good, right on for style. Initially there was a bit of bitterness, followed immediately by caramel malts and biscuits. A light fruitiness was present, and the finish was oong, light hop resins. Not overly done.

Mouthfeel was good, a little syrupy, with moderate carbonation. A little oily.

Drinkability is pretty good as well. I think a sixer of this would go well while watching Wrestlemania XXV.

12oz bottle into a Lucifer tulip pours a slightly hazy orange with a thin eggshell head that diminishes to a thin layer. Aroma is a nice kick of Earthy citrus hops with a touch of sweet malts. The taste is an odd blend of caramel and pale malts with an interesting hop flavor. The beer is medium bodied with decent carbonation. This is certainly an interesting beer, but not as good as their Mojo IPA.

Nice light copper color. Dense white head with decent retention. Really nice Jarlsberg cheese look to the lace with dense areas and medium size holes.

Nice citrus and spicy hop aroma, both American and noble here. Caramel and biscuit malt.

Very lemony citrus flavor kicks in off. The middle is caramel and simple syrup with a touch of biscuit. There is not a lot of bitterness, just a touch, but a lot of hop flavor on the finish spicy and floral.

Beer is medium bodied with a vibrant, fizzy carbonation. Hops oils coat the mouth and are then carried away by the fizz. Quite nice actually.

Very drinkable, I could have several of these. This is quite a nice offering from Boulder.

Thanks for Reading.

pours a great looking deep orange color into my sam adams glass, it really looks great with its big white head, it laces pretty well too. smell is good, has that classic slight sour, mildly hoppy aroma to it. taste is good, refreshing and easy to drink, its a very mild beer like alot of british beers its not an over powering ale, or a weak boring lager, just a good lively beer, no compromise. mouthfeel is good, not watery at all.

drinkability is good, its a good honest beer, just like many of the beers that boulder makes.

A-Golden kissed copper with a medium off-white head that reduced to a thin cap. Left some decent webby lace behind.

S-Sweet caramel and biscuit malts with a nice undertone of lemon and grassy scented hops.

T-True English IPA flavou all the way with the healthy biscuit/malt bill dominating. Hop notes present themselves in the background with a sharp lemon rind and hay aroma becoming present.

M-Medium body with a smooth rounded profile. Mild lasting hop bitterness, rather soft in the finish.

D-A well done representation of an English style IPA. Enough flavour to keep you interested and the soft, silky feel you expect.

No freshness date is given on the label. Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: Hazy orange with a nice-sized off white head. Good head retention and lacing.

Smell: Fairly hoppy. Citrus peels and pine.

Taste: More citrus peels in the taste and surprisingly malty. Little bit of caramel malt sweetness to balance out the hop bitterness.

Poured from 12 oz bottle into pint glass. Poyred cloudy yellow with high foam and large bubbles. Creamy head with prominent lacing.

Grassy hop smell.

Starts with a hoppy bitter taste, which remains throughout, but is balanced nicely with some sweetness. The finish is relatively clean considering the bitter taste. There is a slight fruit taste as well.

I liked this beer - the hops were evident throughout, but never overpoweing - they were kept in check by the british-style malt.

Drinkable - I could have had more than 1.

Poured from a bottle, poured a darker cloudy golden color with a decent head. The scent is not too strong but what there is, is light floral. Appearance: Light orangy brown, little head, no lace.

Smell: Hoppy and a bit citrusy. Orange and lemon notes are present.

Taste: Quite bitter, hops defiantly dominant as the name would suggest. Slight citrus and some grassy hints are also present.

Mouthfeel: Bitterness lingers a bit, a touch of dryness present afterwards, not bad though. There seems to be a small touch of an undistinguishable spice as well.

Drinkability: Quite pleasant to drink, the bitterness is strong at first taste but doesn't linger or leave an overly dry taste...will buy again!

Color is a thin white head that fizzles down to a thin layer that drifts over the beer.

Aroma is a lot of floral hops. There is a malty smell also, but I can't put my finger on it.

Taste is of heavy floral hops with bread-like malts. Some zest to it as well.

Mouthfeel is bitter, but also smooth. Leaves a slight dry aftertaste. Low carbonation.

Overall this beer reminds me of a regular IPA, except with some twists. Decent beer, however there is really nothing to special about it.

Mild sweet nose of fresh grains and caramel with some floral/apple scents

Nice creamy feel. Great balance of flavor...mild malts, subtle apple, some lemon and floral tones, and enough hops to balance it out and provide a nice bitter end, but not so much that it overwhelms the flavor. Probably the best offering I've had from Boulder Beer

Pours a clear amber with a nice head that falls to a very thin ring.
Fairly hoppy aroma with grapefruit and pine. Sweet malts with some toasted bread and lots of brown sugar.
Flavors mirror the aromas pretty well. Lots of hops with the grapefruit and pine flavors. The malts almost seem sweeter in the taste. Bready, biscuity and sugary. There are even some iced tea flavors near the end.
Medium bodied. A little syrupy, but not cloying.
Pretty drinkable. I could see having more of these at home or out at a bar.
Decent beer that can get easly lost in the plethora of IPA's out there. Worth trying, but stick with your favorite.

Fairly pale in color, more golden straw with shades of amber. A thick, white cap atop it that has very good retention and leaves some rings of lacing down the glass. Kind of fruity pebbles smelling and floral. Earthy hops and a hint of biscuity bread but artificial flavor, or something. Pineapple and weird grapefruit but out of place. Very sugary malt. Same thing with the flavor. I think the hop profile is good but the malt kills it, giving it no chance to come to the forefront. Mouthfeel is solid. Creamy and smooth at first with a bitterness that soon meets it and rides out to a moderately dry finish. Something about this one just doesn't work for me. I'll probably try it again down the road but
