Pours a hazy yellow-amber, with a frothy bubbly white head.

Fresh and fruity floral aroma.

Very solid earthy body, infused with a nice backing of florals. Fresh and ripe, lots of depth - yet stays true to the earthy malts.
Finishes clean and crisp and it has large amounts of balance and drinkability.

Definitely true to the style, with a lot more fresh florals then the English import counterpart.

A tasty, and well made beer.

Pours a dark amber color into my DogFish Head snifter. Small head spotty lace.

Smells very malty very slight citrus/hop.

Tastes all malt. Maybe this bottle got skunked but I don't taste the hops.

Full bodied syrupy mouth feel, perfect carbonation.

I could not drink this all night. Maybe I am not partial to english ales or I need to develope a tatse for them but this brew does not have the big flavors or complexity I would expect.

Pours a amberish orange with a nice creamy light tan head that leaves some spotty lace. The nose is mildly fruity with some assertive hops. Slightly bitter with a nice healthy amount of green tasting hops. A good amount of grapefruit, buttered toast and subtle caramel malt flavors. Great creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied and refreshing for such a hoppy brew.

A translucent orange/amber color....just slightly darker than dark gold... No visible carbonation. Thick fluffy white head that had large bubbles and starts to fade almost immediately.. But in the end, it shows some really nice retention.

Aroma is malty first, then a bit floral.. After this you get quite a bit of earthiness and some sweetness. O.K., maybe the earthiness comes first as I continue to enjoy the bottle.

Nice beer. The balance is quite evident. Really does taste like a British beer. Kudos on that. The flavor has a lot of nice flavors happening and is quite deep. Some caramel sweetness, behind a great fruity flavor. You get a burst of grapefruit, but also get some sweeter fruits as well. At the same time, you get a nice malt flavor and some cracker/bread notes.

Mouthfeel is slightly creamy and silky smooth. Carbonation is very light as the style dictates. Drinkability is wonderful. I wish the British used fresh hops like this...

This is my favorite Boulder Beer. BRILLIANT!!

12oz bottle into nonic.

Hazy amber hue with a burnt orange tint. The head is about one finger and solid. As it settles it leaves behind a solid wall of lacing.

A good amount of aromatic hops, more on the American side than English in my opinion, but the overall aroma isn't as sharp as an American IPA. The aroma is sugary and sweet with a bit of grapefruit-like citrus. The malts are well hidden behind the hops, giving a little bit of a bready aroma.

Flavorful hops, giving a sweet flavor without a lot of spiciness. The malts don't show up once again, providing a bit of toastiness in the background.

Sort of a hybrid English/American IPA. Great hop flavor with the malts being slightly hidden.

Poured from a 22oz bomber into a pint glass.

A - Poured a slightly cloudy orange/amber color. Big head of white foam and good lacing.

S - Slightly malty. Very floral with a huge pine aroma.

T - Malty and biscuity up front, followed by a good amount of hoppy bitterness. Finishes off dry.

MF&D - Overall a pretty good beer, tasty and easily sessioned. I'd drink this one again

Clouded brass hued under a dirtied white skimming of foam. Plenty of sticky lace adheres to the sides of the glass.
It noses of crushed flowers, wrought iron, sourdough dinner rolls, and spruce.
It enters the mouth with a floured dinner roll and hard biscuit sense of maltiness. An apricot fruitiness arises as the bready traits track towards sourdough. The hops come with a brisk and assertive bitterness culled from dried flower petals, metal, and pine bark. It puckers further on the swallow with a notion of minerals, and alum.
Medium, if not a bit plumper, in body with a moderate carbonation. It's plenty easy to drink in succession, as the concluding dryness begs to be slaked.
It's no showoff, but it is a perfectly pleasant English IPA.

Slight amber body with a nice head the diminishes quickly. Very floral in the nose and also in the mouth. Seemed a little highly carbonated but was a nice contrast to the hoppiness. Very easy drinkability and not very filling at all. Would definitely reccomend. Not the greatest IPA I ever had but worth the three bucks or so. Another nice beer to add to their repertoire.

Pours a light golden color with a very nice inch of pillowy white head. Smell is subtle hops. Taste is mellow hops, with a bit of mild bitterness. This is a decent beer, just doesn't seem to come together. Really smooth and seems quite sessionable, but at 6.5% this one will catch up with you. Decent, but nothing extraordinary.

Dark gold color, nearly clear. Explosive (and eventually rocky) head that leaves thick lace on the glass side.

Pleanty of hop nose; attractive and inviting, if you like hops.

Good malt start, but the hop is the star. Lots of spicy pine in the aftertaste. Quite dry. Moderate body with low carbonation.

This is a tasty beer but is the run-of-the-mill hoppy near IPA.

I just tried this beer on a whim and i loved it. It has an extremely hoopy aroma to it. Pours a nice amber orange with an off white head. The inital taste is awesome. It is full of fresh hops, probably one of the best beers that i have had. They go down extremely smooth also. There is a high drinability to this brew. A must try.

12oz bottle

A- Pours an amber color with an off-white head.

S- The aroma is very good with some malt and a nice dose of floral hops.

T- The taste like the aroma starts off with a nice smooth malty backbone with the hops coming in the finish. The hops do not produce a huge amount of bitterness, but they do provide a really nice flavor.

M- The mouthfeel is light bodied with a good amount of carbonation.

D- This is a very drinkable IPA that I would purchase again in a heartbeat. Recommended.

Good lace, sticky, no head, pale ale orange amber. About right. Smells like a standard bottled pale ale with not much to define it. A little fruit and a little of the malt, about average. Creamy swallow with odd rye component on the aftertaste and a tea-like tar overtone, but there is bitter at the end that has a little punch. Unusual and extra credit for the rye. Flavor? Because this is an English style, I knew this was going to be subdued, and while the taste is mellow, the hop sting at the end makes this surprising. Tarry hops, slightly bitter at the start, but not overpowering. Rye note in the flavor, more on the aftertaste. Candy like in the center, also not overpowering. Malt is subdued, leaving hops and water as the main components. Well, this is odd, tasty, blends well and has that hops burn at the end. Not bad at all.

A typical IPA but well done... bit above average. Nice orange color with head that laces well. Floral and citrusy hops lend it a nice aroma and the taste is good. Light hop wallop makes it easy drinking. However, high ABV makes me unable to have more than two of these in a row. Also not easily found by myself. If it's easy to find for you, it's a solid IPA choice but not an exceptional IPA. Basically, it's something between a typical IPA and an excellent IPA.

Picked up a 12 oz. single at Liberty St. Tavern. Pours a clear gold-orange into my fglass with a short, white head.

Mmmm, English IPA. The aroma is a little plain, but not necessarily off with more earthy grapefruit. Definite English grains in the flavor, for that dry, biscuity undertone and with grassy, herbal, floral and somewhat citrus hops dominating. Crisper than your average EIPA, there's certainly an American influence here, and while it fits into the style, it stands out. Worth a try if you dig the style and want something different.

Pours a slightly hazy orange amber with a fairly nice initial head that fades to a thin cap but leaves some nice lacing. Smells very herbal and of fresh hops that have allowed to decompose slightly. Unfortunately that same wilted hop herbal flavor is there for me in the taste. I just can't get over that slightly back of the vegetable crisper flavor. Don't know if its the type of hops or hops allowed to spoil, but I just can't drink this. Mouthfeel is adequete, appropriately carbonated ans smooth, but I just can't get over the flavor.

A- Pours a significantly lighter than I was expecting, golden color, crystal clear, no sediment, with a 2 finger, fluffy head that leaves some nice sticky lacing on its way down.

S- Very nice hopiness with notes of sweetened grapefruit, light pine, caramel malt, also some biscuit notes. Nice balance.

T- Starts off very creamy with notes of caramel, mineral dryness, dry grapefruit, peach, balanced hopiness, then moves to a dry mineral finish. Almost a 4.5

M- Nice low carb and nice notes dry hoppy notes on the palette finish.

D- What a tasty brew. I will definitely drink this again. It's not really sessionable but rather something I could have after a day of work.

Pours a pure golden straw color with small head and very little lacing. you can smell the hops, kind of has a tart smell to it, pretty sweet. hops very present initially, floral notes and a tart taste as well, it almost feels like it has a glue taste to it taste pretty weak.good carbonation, medium bodied. decent beer, not one of my favorites and i wasn't impressed, with a name like cold hop it could really use more of a hop taste.

clear amber, good cap and some lace
floral hoppiness. sweet and earthy flowers. smells a bit like lagunitas ipa.
the sweet earthy flowers are up front in the taste and linger. mid-glass a citrusy quality develops on the sides.

A. Copper in color with a soapy white head and some spotty lacing.

S. Bitter hop pellets dominate the smell. I am not complaining. Some light bready notes.

T. Floral and herbal hops. The malts are light and reminiscent of toasted bread.

M. Aggresively carbonated and crisp, a little watery around the edges.

D. Overall a nice session IpA from the other side. Hoppier than I expected.

I have been wanting to try this style for a longtime. Having been unable to score a bottle of Meantime IPA I was happy to see this in my local Total Wine.
Poured from a 12 ounce bottle with no best by date into a pint glass.

A. Brilliant hazy yellow with a healthy head that rapidly dissipates and leaves wispy lacing.

S. The citrus hops were very apparent. Apricot, Tangelo, grapefruit. Hops much more bold than I was lead to expect from an English IPA. Some sweet bready malt noticeable.

T, Tastes great. Crisp hops without overwhelming the malt. Very much more balanced than the aroma lead me to expect. The malt is very evident in the finish.

M. Very smooth, Moderate to low carbonation but clean finish.

D. Very drinkable despite the 6.5% abv. This one could really sneak up on you. This is a good beer. Balanced yet still enough hops to satisfy the hardest hophead. I think I will explore more traditional English IPA's to see how the style holds up. I would really like to try this in a cask.

Very nice. Pours a light copper color with a good size white head. Leaves some lacing on the glass. Smells good, mostly caramel malts but some hops come through as well

Tastes good. Kind of a heavy duty English IPA (like a milder Brooklyn Monster). A good hops balance at the end. This is an English IPA with a kick. Very tasting and refreshing and would be a good transition to lure the uninitiated into the world of hoppy goodness. The hops enhance rather than overtake the English IPA qualities of this beer.

Mouthfeel is rich. Malts predominate. Hops complement. Very drinkable. A bit too much octane for a session beer, but it would be nice letting a few of these catch up with you. A nice American take on a British style.
