Poured into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint Glass. This one pours out a dark brown amber color with good clarity. It produces a very creamy orange/tan colored head that produces very generous lacing to it. The smell could have been a little better, but still pretty decent. Smells more like a slightly above average IPA. There are citrus hops that stand out the most, with a slight roasted malt aroma to it. The taste is quite a big step up. The name on the bottle India Brown Ale really sums up the flavor. There are roasted chocolate malts and some grain followed by some great citursy hops. The hops stand out more than the hops, but it meshes together quite well. Mouthfeel is pretty good, I'd say medium to light bodied, certainly lighter than I expected. It had a clean finish, a very drinkable beer.
Only the 3rd beer I've had from Boulder, and I gotta say I've really liked everything so far. Also only the 2nd "Indian Brown Ale" I've had and I think I'd like to try more of this style.
