This beer was gold in color. It had a good-sized white head with a bit of lace.

Kind of an average beer. Toasty, grassy aroma, not that exciting.

Same with the taste. White toast, mild hops.

Pleasant enough, inoffensive. Good for quenching a thirst.

On tap, Supreme Court Bar, Adam's Mark Hotel, Denver, CO...

Clear, kind of a dull gold color, far lighter than bronze in appearance. Head is creamy and stable at under 1/2 an inch. Good adhesion on the laces. Aroma is subdued, really hard to pull anything out of it. Carbonation is understated, mouthfeel thinnish. Starts malty, bready with some tar qualities. Hops are minimal, but bitter in a grape leaf like way, perhaps combining with a touch of citric wheat. The finish is the most interesting thing -- nutty and almost chocolate-like as it unfolds. For a Blonde Ale, this one had more interest for me than many.

Bottle dated March 22, 2011 at the Denver airport.

Nice appearance, clear bright golden with a one finger white head.

The aroma is not very good, as metal is the main thing I'm picking up. Some sweet malt and hops behind that.

The flavor is not anything too great either. Sweet pale malt, grain, mild floral hops, and metal.

Medium-light bodied and metallic on the mouthfeel with medium-low carbonation.

What can I say- this isn't very good. Disappointments all around from Boulder tonight.

Had this at old chicago with lunch

Poured golden/bronzw with a 2 fingers deep head. Great head retention & very good lacing

S: Floral hops & hints of honey

T: Floral hops & malt sweetness. Some citric hops in the middle. Finished crisp & sweet, with hints of grainyness & grass

mF: Light bodied with a little too much carbonation & lacking in depth & balance

Drinks okay, worse examples out there, but one & done unless you're stuck with BMC

This was on sale at the store so I gave it a go. Poured lighter than I expected it to as a bubbly gold with a frothy white head. The smell wasnt bursting out of the glass, but I could pick up the maltiness from a whiff.

My only complaint was a slight metalic taste to it, but besides that the sweet malts and more subdued bitterness of hops tasted great. Decent mouthfeel, but it was definetely smooth going down. This was a very fine session beer to enjoy with friends hanging out at home. Very easy drinking.

So right off the bat, this ia an American blonde ale, a very finicky style for us very finicky drinkers. It is also a style I don't think should be served outside of a brew pub, or at least outside of a certain radius of the brewery as it is more vulnerable to bad shipping and storage conditions than most other styles. Read on to find out what happens when a blonde from Boulder gets reviewed by a red head in Northern Virginia. The aromas present smell almost like a soggy saltine cracker. There is an off-putting soapy scent, with a distracting sweet corn aroma completing the unappealing introduction to this beer. At least it looks ok. Blonde, straw colored, no visible sea monkeys floating around in the glass. Taste. I almost wish I didn't have to, but it for the purposes of a review. Sip, sip...well this isn't very nice at all. Harsh, sharp grain husk flavors lead to an even more unpleasant damp biscuit finish. Light sulfur compounds complete the woeful package. Oh, look there are even some rough vegetal flavors to despise as well. Drinkability? I don't want to. I will take a water instead please. I know this isn't what the beer was supposed to taste like, but I am judging it as what came out of the bottle. Please don't ship blonde ales long distances through less than reputable and responsible distributors. It doesn't help your brand and it certainly doesn't help such a delicate beer like a blonde ale.

pours out clear amber with a one finger white foam head. Lacing abounds here. The suds dissapate quickly.
Grapes and nuts are what I smell first. sour yeast and light malt come into play later. Is there wheat here?
Taste has a bland grapeftuit and caramel with a slight hop aftertaste.
Mouthfeel is bland at best. Nothing being savored here.
Not a great beer at all.

A: The beer is slightly hazy yellowish amber in color and poured with a finger high white head that quickly died down and left intermittent lacing. A light amount of carbonation is visible.
S: The smell is quite sweet and also has some aromas of floral hops.
T: Like the smell, the taste is dominated by a moderate amount of malty sweetness and also has some fruity flavors.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
D: The beer is easy to drink and refreshing; it would be a good selection on a hot summer day.

Golden straw color. Insignificant head that vanished to a ring around the edge. Aroma reserved, barest hint of fruity hops. On first sip the beer seemed almost flavorless. Subsequent drinks developed a lager-like flavor profile. A little caramel-tinged malt, with sweet/tangy interplay, leading to a modest hops bittering at the finish. Way too flacid for the style, more like a lawnmower lager. Not bad, but a yawner.

The pour a limpid gold color with a modest white head that is frothy in texture, the lace a sealing sheet to seal off the glass. Nose is malt and somewhat sweet, clean and fresh, the start is malt and once again lightly sweet, top is cadaverous. Finish is mild in its carbonation, hops are light in presence, and aftertaste is dry and long lasting, a drinkable beer, but just not one that does much for me, then again a good lawn mower beer I guess.
