Boulder- Stout

A- Deep dark brown with a small tight creamy head.
S- Oak, caramel malt, and sweet coffee beans.
T- French roast coffee, very creamy vanilla flavor throughout with a lingering touch of oak.
M- Very soft, velvety soft smooth and creamy.

Overall- Another Boulder beer thats too easy to drink. Flavors are a touch subdued but still tasty.

Nice creamy-foamy head, over an opaque, black coffee colored stout. The foam lasted very well on mine. The aroma reminded me of Kahlua - perpetuating the illusion of coffee - French roast, malty, with a hint of vanilla. The initial taste in wonderful: the perfect blend of bittersweet chocolate, bitter black coffee and caramel. Smooth mouthfeel, very mild carbonation - comparable to Young's or Smith's chocolate beers.

On the pour that magnificent brown to black color, modest chocolate brown head, frothy, with fine lace to coat the glass. Nose is toasted grains, caramel, chocolate tones. Start is sweet; the top is average in mouth feel, the finish has a discriminating hop presence, penetrating acidity, and droughty malt aftertaste. Pretty much a run of the mill stout, not bad not good, could be classified as a “beginners stout”. So if you're not into the “Bad Boy” Imperials, give this one a sample.

Fizzy sound while pouring with a head that thins very quickly. Roast malt aroma with a slight coffee nose too. Dark brown color, appears clear, and a slight reddish hue. Really rather thin mouthfeel (although rather carbonated), which takes away from a more enjoyable full flavor of roast and dark malts. Some nice dryness to the finish. Never have I had a beer quite like this, in that flavor was enjoyable and other areas so weak.
