A: The beer is clear pale yellow in color with just a thin layer of bubbles on the surface.
S: The aroma isn't very strong; there are notes of blueberries and wheat in the nose.
T: Mild flavors of wheat along with notes of blueberries dominate the taste, which has a mild amount of sweetness. The aftertaste is rather fruity.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and lightly carbonated.
D: The beer was easy to drink and fairly refreshing, given that the blueberry flavors are mild and are not overpowering.

A mildly fruity (blueberry) decoration to the ever-banal American Wheat Ale. The result is a nice but timid Abita Purple Haze-type beer but with blueberry flavor instead.
Bready aromas are met with grain and wheat scents, giving a medium bready scent. Blueberry notes come into play afterwards but in as little intensity as to suggest fruitiness but not overly blueberry. Low hops and moderate-light esters take back seats to the wheat character and non-descript fruitiness.
Light golden colors release a froathy eggshell white head that shows average staying power for a wheat. Mild lacing should have been better.
Flavors of wheat and barley malt shows a nice base blend but the character of their balance seems timid. Blueberry flavor is moderate and compliments the beer well. However the flavor only lightly captures the blueberry taste (maybe that's why they call it 'Kinda Blue'). Other ale-like characters are suppressed in favor of bready malts and berry flavor.
Part malt/part grain textures frame the forefront but finish moderately bready and rich despite the sporatic grainy moments. Berries assist with a light acidity that lightens the beer and allows for a crisp and refreshing finish.
The beer falls in the middle ground of fruited wheats. As clean and crisp as it is, it lacks the malt character and true fruit contribution that it takes to make it more highly regarded.

12 ounce bottle - $1.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Enjoy By: JUL092014.
Appearance: Pours a clear, light amber-toned body with a small, near white head.
Smell: Mild, oddly joined notes smelling of blueberry, toasted grain with a thin edge of caramel.
Taste: Vaguely bready, mealy maltiness, not really characteristic of wheat. Light, 'off' honeyish sweetness. Low blueberry flavor. Faint hops, very light bitterness. Drying, lightly fruitiness. This one just doesn't come together AT ALL.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Kinda Bleh.

THis beer poured out as a copperish color with a thin white head on top. The head fades and leaves no real lacing. The smell of the beer had some funky blueberry aromas to it that weren't overly appealing to me. The taste of the beer was decent but really not anything too special. The mouthfeel was on the thinner side and lacked the softness of most wheat beers. Overall it wasn't the greatest blueberry wheat beer out there. I'd say try a sample before ordering a whole glass.

Served in a Lagunitas mason jar.
Well, at least it's only kinda depressed, 'cause dangerous tidings can otherwise result... Anyway, on a more positive note, beer is at hand, and it pours a clear sunrise amber topped by a finger of off-white foam. The nose comprises buttery biscuit, plastic-y blueberry syrup, and some light perfume. The taste brings in more of the same, though with more butter than berry and a light vein of banana running through the background. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a thin feel. Overall, a fairly sad little fruit beer, another morsel of proof that it's really hard to make a truly good blueberry beer.

A - Poured out a clear, copper color with a reddish hue. It had a small, white head of bubbly foam that left little to no lace.
S - It smelled of blueberry and some wheat. Not much else.
T - It tasted of blueberry, some caramel and some mild wheat.
M - It was crisp, sharp and smooth. A light bodied ale with a dry, clean finish.
O - This is an okay blueberry wheat. Still not my favorite style, but not bad.

A - Poured with two fingers of off-white foam on top of a clear, dark copper colored body. The head settles at a moderate pace and leaves nice lace on the glass.
S - Bready wheat notes, some caramel, and a hint of fruity character.
T - Spicy wheat notes up front with a touch of vanilla. Some light fruitiness comes out in the middle with some caramel. Finishes with more thick wheat, light blueberry, and a hint of herbal hops.
M - Medium-thick body, moderate carbonation, and a lightly sweet finish
D - Well, it is a fruity wheat beer but it is much better done than most beers of this type. The fruit is subdued, but it does add something to the character of what would otherwise be a fairly bland beer.

Pours clear bright copper hue with a fine bubbled white head forming thick. Lacing dwindles down leaving behind speckled lace on my sierra nevada hop tulip imperial pint glass. Aroma has very tame blueberry earthiness aout it, almost like the skins and stems make more of a presence than actual fruit sugars. A nice sharp wheat breadiness with hints of blueberry. We're so used to bastardized artificial flavorings and aromas like Leinenkugel summer wheat where they claim it smells like blueberry, I tend to think of fruity pebbles instead of actual fruit. As this one warms up it gives m a bit of Blueberry jam smell. Flavor is an American pale wheat with hints of subtle blueberry showing up on the palate, again a very earthy dry slightly bitter blueberry not your sweet candy artificial type. Does it work well with the base pale wheat? Not really the fruit additions don't make this explode with flavor and the base beer seems lackluster by itself, very middle of the road. I guess I'm just appreciative that they didn't make it with artificial flavoring. Mouthfeel is light on carbonation body is light to medium not as light as some pale wheats, the fruit at the end starts to weigh on my palate. Drinkability overall is decent a nice summer refreshing pale wheat from the folks in Boulder I would have been happier with a hoppy wheat instead.

Poured from a bottle into a shaker pint at home. Beer is kind of red and has a slight haze to it. Forms a white head that falls away quickly leaving no lacing on the glass. Carbonation is minimal. Eh...
Aroma is weak and only slightly fruity.
Beer is medium bodied and leads off with a pretty grainy aftertaste, but it fades quickly and doesn't show up as the beer is drank further (good). It is slightly sweet and not bitter at all. Easy drinking but the flavors are all a little muted.

a better than average fruit beer, especially in the blueberry category where so many of these are just awful. this one pours a cloudy purpley pink color with a tinted foamy head. smells like a wheat beer, fruity and light. the blueberries add some tartness to the nose. the taste is pretty good, well balanced and not too sweet from the fruit. theres even a fairly crisp finish where some of the hops are picked up and the fruity citric yeast rounds it out well. feel is light and bubbly, perfect for a summer beer, but i think this one is even a bit too light. a fuller body might capture a bit more of the fruit flavor and draw out the experience in a good way. i dont know. overall id prefer this to many other fruity wheat beers, but you probably wont catch me buying it.

From 07/16/11 notes. Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a pint glass, and drank with a piece of blueberry pie.
a - Pours a hazy orange color with one inch of fluffy white head and moderate carbonation evident. No lacing or real retention.
s - Smells of very light blueberries, wheat, and bread.
t - Tastes of wheat, grain, bread, and very light blueberries; less blueberries than the nose. A step down from the nose.
m - Medium body and low carbonation. Pretty easy to drink.
o - A prettyy average wheat beer, with just the slightest hint of blueberries. My girlfriend likes fruitier beers but even she didn't really care for this one. Wouldn't seek it out again.

Thick and lumpy lace that leaves a chunky pieces of ring lace. The liquid is nearly clear and is dark gold/light amber color.
Sour with plenty cereal smell. No blueberry aroma.
Rather mild flavor. Sour berry flavor behind the malted wheat. The body is relatively rich, the carbonation is modest. It's drinkable but bland.

Bomber poured into a chalice.
Pours a finger of light pink head. Fades to a thin layer. Color is a clear golden color with a pink hue to it.
Aroma: blueberries and wheat. fairly artificial flavored imo. Some sweetness to it. Not a lot going on here.
Taste: More wheat and blueberries. I guess that really sums it up. I really don't know what else to taste. Maybe a hint of lemon zest.
Mouthfeel: Crisp and smooth. Lighter bodied with a decent amount of carbonation. Ends very dry with wheat flavors.
Overall, this beer was just what the name said. It was nothing special. Somewhat drinkable but not very complex.

Nice looking beer. Hazed golden amber. Nice beige head leaves decent lace. Aroma is of mashed blueberries and wheat tang. Flavor follows suit and it is a good summer quaffer. The blueberry is not too dominating, which is good. It mixes in nicely with the wheat base to create a nice, refreshing midsummer beer.

Looks like a regular wheat beer. No blue tinge at all to it. And there wasn't any blueberry detectable in the nose. What gives?
Mild berry taste, very mild, wouldn't know it was blueberry unless you read the label, just was reminiscient of a boring palateable wheat beer. Blase.
Even when drank in summer, this one fell flat. Glad I only bought a single of it, but even at $1.49, there are much better options. Pass.

12 oz bottle dated 27 July 2012, so a little past date but no signs of spoilage.
A: Pours a clear, amber-copper color with a small, dingy white head. Plenty of visible carbonation, both fine and coarse. The head settles quickly to a ring and partial top coat that endure and leave patches of lacing on the glass.
S & T: vague fruity aroma [3.25] I probably would not have identified as blueberry in a blind test. This fruitiness is mixed with some wheat, caramel and what smells like winter squash. The flavor is clearly blueberry and toasted grains. Overall, bitter and sweet are more or less in balance.
M: A little over-carbonated and too sharp; light bodied; slightly dry finish.
O: A rather mediocre blueberry wheat, with limited blueberry flavor and rather aggressive carbonation. In comparison to others, however, this one avoids an overdose of blueberry flavor and the more common problem of being overly sweet. [3.25]
